Why not giving possibilités to french speaking ones?
How do you pronounce her last name? Watching these videos and haven't found one where she says it.
Congratulations to all graduates
Courageous theological imagination-awesome.
2.5-hour commute is average!? wow
Congratulation Rev. Dr Boyung Lee. Thank you for your scholarship in the department of Christian religious education. We continue to cherish your critical scholarship in the academic journey. Blessing upon you as you continue to serve your Lord.
Really enjoyed this service
Yeah, I definitely picked a bad week to start watching the West Wing for the sixth or seventh time! 🤣
I'd like to say that this would be a wonderful public video. Rev. Kristina explains this so wonderfully and fully that I think many people (regardless of affiliation) could benefit from.
Surprisingly good voice
So thankful you made this available for those of us who could not be present in person.
No sound.
as the saying goes, 'dios mio'
Cathie - you remind me of another spiritual teacher of mine who was talking about meditation and admitted keeping a pencil and paper alongside for precisely the same reason you mention here! She laughed at the admission, saying, "it's probably cheating!" But for me, her comment, as with your reminder this week, gave me permission to relax around "doing it right." We are all human, we all live busy lives, and I'm coming to understand that God accepts that we may occasionally need to hit "pause" and empty our thoughts onto paper in order to be more focused when we hit "play" on praying again. Love this series!!!
I've been called out! What is that "common miss-perception"? (My answer got edited out for length in the video.) The miss-perception is that studying and being spiritual are two totally separate and distinct things, and that Iliff only cares about the intellectual/studying part. In fact, formation of the intellect is one part of the total "spiritual formation" package. Being formed into thinking historically, contextually, and therefore critically, is part of both the "letting go" and "receiving insight" moments of formation. These videos help make that connection clearer by inviting you to consciously engage the larger "spiritual" frame while studying.
What a beautiful, beautiful service!
I appreciated the author of the poem's recitation. Does she publish her work somewhere? sharing that story made me feel less isolated. Thanks for posting the video of this service so I could hear those words.
This fall, we will be publishing this poem along with a profile of the poet, Brydie Harris. Brydie was our Student of the Year this year. We're happy you appreciated it!
Hallelujah, Amen!!!!!! :) We will be praying for you, Bishop Oliveto and the entire church for we are children of God. May the peace of The Lord be with you and minister with you now and forevermore, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit we pray, Amen! (Creator, Christ, and Spirit for God is never limited by gender, Amen.)
