Mouse Trap is one of those movies that would put me in the mental hospital. Cult Killer: I wanted to see that movie but did not catch it. You got that movie as in your top wow. So you have this movie worst than Mouse Trap. That really surprising. That a heck of a list my friend. I guess I would have lost that bet. I say 3 movies that you and I have in common. There were only 1.

Yeah im glad i haven't seen most of these. However, if catch hot frosty and deserves it spot for sure on your list.

I’ll be recording my list in the next few days but my favorites were definitely Late Night with the Devil, Godzilla x Kong , IF , Deadpool and Wolverine and Many others. Great List Mike. Absolutely Love it

It definitely depends on two factors for me. Enjoyment of the movies and collecting. Lets start with collecting. If you collected things like baseball or football cards and you enjoy them, then it fine. In your case, you collect movie ticket stubs. I'm pretty sure you collected enough to build a shed. Enjoyment: If you enjoy the movie so much that you want to watch it again, then that a good thing too. However, its get the point that you have to spend so much money paying for them and you start to question is it worth it.

Solid list. Quite a few movies ive never even heard of and will have to put on my radar. Thanks for the video!

Hi Mike! Julie & Michael here. We are hearing reviews of Mufasa much like yours, a mixed bag of positive and negatives. We are hearing lots of good reviews of the music, although we're not huge fans of Lin Manuel Miranda. We've also heard that the vocals are a big let-down which is disappointing since the music of the original Lion King with its Elton John influences is such a show stopper. I mean it literally spawned a show that is still running on Broadway to this day with huge success. The movie is getting 55% on rotten tomatoes right now, we really expected more from this movie than that. We truly believe Disney is dropping the ball right & left these days and not even pretending that they're not, and that's so disappointing. Universal is running circles around Disney these days.

Michael is so surprised that Transformers One made the list! He watched the original Michael Bay version and just didn't think this one could live up to that. He loved the Transformers movies as a kid, his first lunchbox ever had Optimus Prime on it!

HAHAHAHAHA Late Night With the Devil!!! I can't believe that movie made your list!! I have not seen it yet but Michael has been asking me to watch it with him for literally months now!! I'm kinda burnt out on the whole devil/possession/nuns/catholicism horror movie trope, but you seem to really love that movie if it made #3 and it beat out other movies I would have expected to get rated even better like Dune and Juror #2. Michael said LNWTD has been tops on his list for months now and he wants to see it so bad!!

Michael has been keep his eye on Juror #2 and was planning to watch it at the treadmill if he couldn't talk me into watching it with him. Since you speak so highly of it, I might watch it with him!! It's supposed to be such a good movie and I do love a good suspense movie especially with an ambiguous ending!!!

Hi Mike!! Julie AND Michael here watching your video together!! We are just getting caught up on our friends' videos. What a great idea to recap the best movies of 2024!! Michael totally agrees with you about Dune 2. The Dune series is one of his favorite book series and he appreciates how well done the movies are so far. It definitely deserves its place in your honorable mentions. He also watched Thelma with his mother and they both really enjoyed it and got quite a laugh out of it!!!

As always, I managed to avoid all of these. The gluttony for punishment continues, my friend! I also knew Drive Away Dolls,The Mousetrap, Megamind, and Between The Temples were going to end up on this list. Oof! 🙃🙃🙃

Great video Mike! Got to say I’ve noticed none of these are big box office movies, mostly all smaller ones. I’m guessing that the worst films will be the opposite. Which n a way says the state of what’s being pushed and what’s having the money spent on it. Kinda shows that you don’t need multi millions to produce a good movie, you need the storytelling.

Great video Mike! I’ll be doing my own list in a few days during a livestream with Leon so I won’t say too much yet. I really enjoyed Juror #2 as well, and I’m glad to hear you also liked the ending! It’s kind of dividing people I know. The Substance is such a crazy movie too, I’ve seen it twice now. I liked it a bit less the second time but it’s still a strong 7/10 for me I would say. Wasn’t huge on Late Night with the Devil but it’s got an amazing ending, that’s for sure. Haven’t seen the other ones but I’m adding them to the list! Overall really cool list and I’m glad you’re shouting out so many smaller movies! I actually think 2024 was a really solid year, it’s just that most of my favorite movies had smaller budgets and box office returns than last year. Cheers man!

interesting list ... I remember you loving Blue Giant, I'll have to try and keep an eye out for it. 2024 has been a weird movie year. I think, not a great year .... but then when I look through my list of movies seen, I see a heck of a lot I really thought were good. I think maybe Anora or Wicked are my top picks. I may see Wicked again in the coming days just to see if the movie was great, or if I am watching with rose-tinted glasses because Ariana is so good :-)

My favourite movie of the year is the Wild Robot followed closely by Transformers One, they really knocked it out of the park with animated movies this year!

I can always expect you to surprise me with your number 1 pick. I’m sure you’ve mentioned your #1 before but I don’t remember hearing about it. I just saw Juror #2 and thought it was ok. I’m scared to watch the Substance but I think I’m going to have to watch it eventually. Transformers One is also one of my favorite movies of the year.

This movie was absolutely terrible. It was worse than Blood and Honey, and INFINITELY worse than Blood and Honey 2. It’s a sad excuse for a slasher movie that just had killing for the sake of killing, and you could’ve put ANY character in place for Mickey and it would’ve been the same movie. It only was made to take advantage of Steamboat Willie going PD this year and nothing else. The acting was awful, the writing was worse than a fan fiction, and the movie somehow had a budget of $800,000 that I have NO idea where it went.

I heard all about it from you and other movie reviewers and it was definitely worth the watch. Transformers One was amazing. You mention the movie from China Deep Sea. Well I felt I was in a deep sea this year watching a lot of god awful movie this year. Could not swim my way back on surface.

Fair list man, I've only seen half of the films on the list (juror #2, transformers one and the substance) but i may give those other films a watch at some point. Merry Christmas!
