That's a badass bike but I picked up a used 2019 CB500X with 515 miles absolutely love that bike! The KTM is much better off-road, while the Honda is much better on 🛣️ and KTM has had a sketchy history with reliability if you have 💰 I'd say the KTM is fine but if you need something reliable I would look at Honda or Yamaha 🤷

It is an expensive machine that only has cheap material. This bike has little or nothing similar to an adventure bike (additionally it is also really ugly, but that is relative). Much better option to buy a cfmoto 450mt. It has everything better than this bike (except the weight), and for now it costs less money. If the weight of the cfmoto is a reason not to buy then the best choice would be a Honda crf300l or Kawasaki versys 300x. If you want to make the party even cheaper, you can opt for other used machines from the past. Suzuki Drz 250, Dr350, Drz400, Dr650; Honda NX250, NX400, NX650; Yamaha WR250R, XT225/250, XT600, etc etc

Not negative comment. But ‘adventure’ doesn’t mean more. It’s a 400 with the power and torque that gives some fun. But no disrespect, it’s not a mind blowing machine for experienced riders.

KTM? Meh, I don't trust them to build me a motorcycle, I bought a Yamaha and a Honda instead for the same money, and those manufactures won't fail me if their bikes fail to oil their camshafts..

Yes indeed. One of the fastest bikes around. BTW, its not a choke with EFI, its a idle speed controller for cold starts.

The k6 is much better looking than the newer gens. The headlight looks better by far. I think the headlight is the only noticeable difference for the last 18 years on the Gixser.

Yamaha is sleeping while Even Suzuki is overtaking them. Now Honda and Suzuku are the best Japanese brands to buy bikes from.

If you want a commuter just spend 1k-2k on a 650 deauville - shaft drive, miserly on fuel and maintenance costs, and comfortable too - all things this bike is trying to reinvent only not as good.
