Mariah Carey - Slipping Away (TMC Sadness Suite)
Aside from her Lambs, very few people put respect on Mariah Carey's underrated work. This gem is no exception. Originally produced by Mariah Carey herself and Dave "Jam" Hall, this wonderful song was excluded from her 1995 "Daydream" but eventually it saw the light of day as a b-side on her "Always Be My Baby" single in the US and Canada, and on "Open Arms" in Australia. Dave programmed all of the instruments on the original 81 BPM track, and clearly chose a light, sweet and soulful approach. I can't blame him, because it really is a jam, however when you dive into the lyrics you'll find that the songs intention was conceptually much sadder and deeper and so I tried to build a moodier pro...

This megamix is probably one of the best I've heard out there. I keep coming back for replays as they don't have any official ones. It's sad that Mariah only released the Megamix of her Def Club Mixes for a limited time only many years ago. Yet, these neganixes captures her various vocals, tracks, and albums throughout the years! Thanks so for all your hard work, dedication, and for sharing it with us! I was born during 1986, for me. I was a lonely child, who came from a home of domestic violence. Mariah's music helped me coped with the trauma of growing up in such a place. So I battled with being bullied, discriminated, and at the same time, my home was an unhappy one...
