Ah man. Not one of these people are high on weed. 😢
Was that Dave's cage at the end?
Well done. Cool guitar.
Thanks for sharing
Beautiful guitar,i have the guitar but sadly not the case. It sounds amazing (to be exact, it sounds amazingly unique). I had an uncle that sells antiques give it to me because i cleaned up his basement 20 years ago. I just wish i could learn to play sometime.
This is brilliant..!! I just started learning guitar a few months ago & I'm documenting my entire learning journey on here so this was super motivational!
Best times ever! I still have my membership card too! Met guys from all different schools.
Nice!
Wow yer all over that neck...thats a comlpicated piece, you made it look effortless. Come on...gove yourself a mic also. Nice work!!
Thanks! I keep trying different approaches to mics and cameras but not really happy with any of them.
A home run!!
i have always loved this song. DIdn't realize it was Bacharach. Thanks.
Not too shabby...
Looks great! You are too funny 🤣
thumbs Up
Great job!
Cool! 💜
Store looks very good
My band, "A Clockwork Orange" played there a couple of times as an opening act. I did a cover of a Beatles song I posted to RUclips that has several still photos of us playing at the Blue Village. I am the red haired guy playing the drums. ruclips.net/video/0uDnRLkh5qU/видео.html
Warning: Attaching springs to a moving eyes Jerry's mechanics while locked up (from 55+ years of deformation) leads to some pretty ugly results. Each time you move the eyes, *you're sanding away at the plastic eyes themselves.*
Dammit! I blacked out..
I lived in Westmont as a teenager in the 1960s, The Blue Village was my hangout While my friends were going to basketball games. I went to see bands at the teen clubs. It started when the National Food store caught fire when the coffee pot was left on. The building did not burn but the smoke damage put them out of business. A promoter opened in the building during the psychedelic era using black lights and florescent paint. I got to see many local bands from the area. I remember Pierre and the Prophets and the Raindeer Army. There was a 16mm movie running with no sound. Besides the music I went to meet girls. I dated girls from different High Schools. The Black Light had some strange effects. If you used Murine eye drops, you would have bright yellow eyes and tears on your face. Girls who wore polyester blouses found that their cotton bra glowed in the dark. Thanks for the song Meadowman www.cryanshames.com/blast5.html
Thanks for the history!
Those were great times! Saw so many bands. I remember Pierre and the Prophets, too!! And yes, we had to be careful what kind of top to wear! lol We would take the train that stopped right there, and always knew somebody that could drive us home. Great job, Meadowman - wish the song was longer!!!
Had to add this for Judy Webber!!
Nice pick, where'd you get it?
Real showmanship! Playing through the great Westmont earthquake of 2015!
RideswithChuck Was there an earthquake?
Great tribute to Lesley Gore. Interesting version. Well done.
Beatles look with some nice Hendrix licks!
Wonderful! You saw the Vectors! Did you play there?
No, I was too young. I didn't get to Blue Village until it was about to close. My older brother, though, went a lot and raved about the Vectors.
The solo at 1:50 is not that bad
Who knew?
FINALLY! Something good from the Meadowman.
A transcendent piece of west suburban nostalgia. I would love to hear this with a full band and a Rick-12 chiming in the background. Chicagoland was/is a special musical setting and this song captures it's essence. Bravo, Meadowman.
Thank you! Baum/Derer could reunite!
The oddest video I've witnessed this month.
Maybe the economy is picking up.
Yikes! I think Jesus just ran an ad!
Thanx geetarxist.
Great job! Whit's always been a winner with us! Love the lyrics.
@meadowman2007 That's all you need for a sizzling whopper.
@RideswithChuck I think the best you can hope for is ground chuck...
Whitney can grease my pan anytime.
@mrclarendonhills Susie got jealous, would not participate
We want Suzy!
Some have complained about the shaky video! My good camcorder ran out of juice right before Whiplash came on and we had to switch to the digital camera! But no camera could have stilled the action in the ring!
Not sure why youtube uses the guitarist for the thumbnail on this video...
Look at those short shorts, ,,,on the guys.
You're gonna need a bigger snow thrower.
Nice... laid back... one of these days I gotta start tryin' to play harp, too... I played that 'fore I ever lokked at a guitar.
"Clap, clap, clap, clap"
I could hardly see the cat's lips move.
I don't believe the bald guy was pulling his weight here.
