Modified RCSB 4L60E What's wrong with it?!?!
Modified is taking apart the 2006 4L60E to see why there's no 1-2 shift?!?! The last time it was driven it slammed into 2nd gear and made a horrible noise. I limped it home and now taking it apart to see why I lost 2nd gear.

The RCSB project gets my painted up 5.3 LM7!!
Просмотров 3919 часов назад
Modified has taken the 5.3 out of the PreRunner Project and cleaned, painted, and installed it into the RCSB project for char_cole_6 onIG. We saved y'all the agony of watching us wire wheel, brake clean and torch the block so it would hold paint. The only leak was the oil pan gasket, so while we changed that we changed the "O" ring on the pickup tube. Otherwise the 5.3 was ready to drop in.

      @IDKWTFID Man, that's close. Without seeing it I'm not sure, but I'd try to work with the door panel so if everything is attached to it, it would be easier to remove if you need to change something in the door like a window motor or door switch.

    • @Modified1
      @Modified1 15 дней назад

      @IDKWTFID, That would be a better option if the speaker has some weight to it. You could wrap, paint, carpet, or stain the wood piece and add a shallow tweeter to the piece. My pioneer 6.5's are 25w rms, they don't weigh much. Then screw it from the back and use fender washers so the screws don't pull through.

    • @Modified1
      @Modified1 15 дней назад

      This is my son's 1st project. The 06 silverado I took this engine out of has 264k on it and was my daily driver for 12 yrs and was rear-ended 3x. I never had a problem with my Chevy. I also keep up with the proper maintenance. After the last accident, where I got smoked by a tundra at 55 and I was sitting still in traffic (I drove mine home and his left on a wrecker) I decided at 264k (with no mechanical issues) to turn it into a prerunner and ordered a 450hp crate engine and 3/4 ton trans 4l80e and 14 bolt full float rearend. Now my son wants a street truck so I found this for $800 with a well used 4.8, so instead of rebuilding the 4.8 when I have a very lively 5.3 we went this route on his 1st project. I've made a lot of money repairing everything especially ford's. In the end they're all junk if you keep them long enough and don't maintain them properly. Just purchased a 4t 2 post lifter (very similar but seems even more chunky). It may worth to mention, your concrete floorthickness should be at least 30 cm thick. (I know it sounds a lot butthat’s the requirement for such a lifter (at least here in europe). Ofcourse the outer sides of the floor can be thinner but the center part where the lifter stands it should be really bulletproof. Nice video and congrats, it is a nice piece of hardware :)

    • @Modified1
      @Modified1 Месяц назад

I used 5500psi concrete and 12" or 30cm thick center except with the addition of a 6" or 15cm chain wall 18" or 45cm deep all tied together with a steel wire mesh, also with a moisture barrier so my concrete doesn't sweat. I'm still new to making videos, and you're right, I should've mentioned the concrete requirements somewhere in the video. Thanks for commenting on my video. It really helps my channel grow!
