@Adie_Brown It's a little bit twisty and there are very few overtaking opportunities, but it was quite physically demanding and fun to drive.

@@5speedsimracer There used to be more grip downstairs, but today the hairpin before the ramp was like karting on ice. My best (when there was more grip) was a 41.8.

@@BrettGaskinRacing I hope they do something about it because it is a great track. Very consistent times for 50 laps must have been tough! Also just a quick one, I want to start recording some karting myself and I was wondering what camera you use and what software you use for the timings?

@5speedsimracer I have a couple of Garmin VIRB cameras (an "elite" and a "standard"), and I use RaceRender 3 for my editing and metrics - when karting outdoors, all you need to do is set the start/finish line on the GPS, and it does the rest, indoor karting is a little more tricky, but you can add all of your lap times in and the software does the rest.

@@9999rtr999 Hi! I use a Garmin Virb Elite helmet camera, paired with a Garmin heart rate monitor. I like the Garmin camera because it has in-built GPS (for outdoor tracks) and it pairs with any ANT+ devices easily. For pulling all of the data together and editing my videos, I now use RaceRender 3, but there is a native VIRB Edit programme (free) that links with the camera.

@@tinheadbri4496 Thanks. It's an interesting track; a mix of heavy braking corners and then sequences of hairpins that you can use clever positioning to get the final inside line for overtakes.

Thank you. There were a couple of reasons for slowing up; there were lots of crashes, so I was under yellow flags at various points, also the winner was the person who completed the fastest lap, so I sometimes gave myself space to get a clean lap in rather than having to fight through traffic.

Idk how you do it cause either you’re that fast or my car was terrible cause it didn’t want to turn at all. I want to improve it now to but I think my next session will be in Dubai kartdrome😅

@unstoppablerage1891 @esakhan2239 I don't mind defensive driving; it makes me a better driver trying to cleanly overtake. But this wasn't a race, just about getting the fastest lap and it would have been better for the other drivers' lap times to learn from my lines.

Thanks for watching the video. I always try to be a clean driver and, on tight, twisty, circuits (like this), it can be difficult to overtake without lunging up the inside. Once I did manage to get past, I put in some strong lap times and pulled away!

Hi! Whilst motorsport is dangerous, if your 8 year old is confident, there will be nothing to worry about. If it's just the two of you, you will be in a mixed session, and who you are placed with (and how they drive!) is out of your control.

It was great fun, and nice to have some challenging, but clean, racing.

I did suggest that was the case to the marshals after the race, but they said that there wasn't anything that they could do. It was very frustrating, especially as I was hurt in the impact about halfway through the race, but I carried on to complete the race and then it didn't count for anything in the end.

@@BrettGaskinRacingDefinitely get in touch with the team at Eastleigh or TeamSport Head Office because I had the exact same issue before - the kart is definitely faulty and they will have it on record from when I complained about it. It should be taken off track again. I do have to say that the Eastleigh team were great in resolving my case, it’s just a shame the kart still has the same problem and you had to suffer from it.

In this session, I got a 32.787s fastest lap.
