Fr. Crotty's sermons are thought-provoking and made me do some research about the people he mentioned. It took me half of the day to gather all the informations and related infos I needed before I have to move to another video of the next day novena. In the case of Francis Thompson and generally, it usually takes us another person to touch or maybe poke and remind us where we have come from (God, being the Alpha and the Omega of our life) and lead us back along.

Song of Songs 3:1-4 is my favorite and as I keep on repeating it over and over again, the more it becomes painfully but sweetly beautiful because it penetrates deeply and reaches the longings in the core of my heart for the one I love. Life is good but love (God; love comes from Him) is even more beautiful and without it, man is merely existing like a chair with no one sitting on it.

Would you be able to post the prayer to St Jude?? It sounds beautiful and is different than the one I found...

Father, this is very encouraging for us. Father Crotty's experience in Jerusalem on that early morning reminded me of an early particular day at work when everything I did was wrong in the sight of my co-worker and it seemed to her that I can never do anything right at all. While thinking about it as I walked, my eyes welled up with tears and when they were about to fall, a gentle breeze stirred up the lavender bush scattering the scent of the natural sweet perfume surrounding me. As I marveled the lavender's scent, making me aware of God's creation, I uttered a prayer, "Thank you, Lord for reminding me that You love me." It was then that I realized that despite the treatment I got from my co-worker, through the sweet-smelling lavender, God does not want me to forget that He is abiding me at all times and His love for me is constant.

I love this homily. It is profound.

The Holy Spirit, the Paraclete or The Comforter. How can the Holy Spirit comforts us? My mind has finally been illumined regarding the meaning of the Paraclete. Thanks be to God.
