Wow, I had problems in the early ZMR days with my orange rx doing this- antenna was contacting the carbon...

No initialization tones mean that the ESC did not power down, nor did the flight controller. You weren't anywhere near low throttle so it's not low min_throttle. A true desync would be most likely to happen when the motor was going from slow to fast rpms quickly, which was not happening. But we can't rule that out. Now here's a question: did all four motors stop or just one? If just one motor stopped then I would expect the flip-out to be much more aggressive as the remaining three motors just couldn't respond quickly enough. But on the other hand, I don't really hear any motors spinning under power during the fall. I hear a prop sound, but it sounds mostly to me like an idle prop windmilling. If we assume that just one motor stopped, then I would say this looks most like a loose prop. The way the front right motor just sort of slowly and smoothly gives way is consistent with a loose prop. But if that happened, then we would also hear the motor go to full as the PID loop tried to correct for the uncommanded motion. Another thing that seems somewhat likely is bad connection between the ESC and the motor. This would be consistent with the motor stopping entirely during the fall.

you doing good first you have to get uuse to it control and power and just practice on your hover and also make sure trim them out befor try flying it around but once you get it trim right you can fly with just about one hand but keep practice practice make perfect. good job

Wow...beautiful hi def video. Zooming in I can see a lot of wind blowing. So, it's adding more difficulty for you to practice. I'd recommend an underground parking lot. That's where I learned my chops. I see you just lost it when the heli turned nose-in, and you're probably weren't ready for it. Also, I see you need to be more aggressive with your cyclic. Hit the stick back/forth/back/forth more quickly. You may have too much +expo. Definitely "zero wind" will help you a lot.

@Slimdog2k Well I think you need more room first of all because you need to fly it higher. The heli goes far fast but just keep tail in and bring it back and land if you have to and walk to get it. You have to be patient when you build your own training gear and it's a pain in the rear. Even when you buy the components there is still lots of work to mount it on the heli properly, at this point you might want to do without the gear. You are getting to be an good heli mechanic! cheers!

Just a thought but I think your training gear is making it more difficult to hover, they do not display a balance performance and it did not help you in the end. The training gear is suppose to protect you from this roll over crash you just experienced good luck cheers...
