Regarding what you mentioned at the 3:15 mark, if you do need to keep your SFTP connection running 24/7, SFTP Gateway is usually much less expensive than Azure SFTP.

ONE VERY IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE ONLINE VERSION AND DESKTOP INSTALLED OUTLOOK is backups and email to pdf conversion. If your a lawyer using Outlook Online and subpoenaed (audited even) and you need to produce documentation pertaining to a long case where your submission of hundreds of emails is going to be digitally submitted & expected to be in an organized electronic PDF form. With that being said you're completely screwed. Unlike the desktop installed Outlook application which allows backups of emails and attachments in a mere few clicks...there are ZERO easy ways to backup, print and/or save your emails with associated attachments in the 365 Outlook Online edition. You'll need weeks to archive the emails and attachments. For outlook online it takes weeks even months if your digitizing bankers boxes of case files and need to include the email correspondence. However if you need to do it......this is how you must do it. You never know when you end up getting subpoenaed to provide electronic correspondence for a case. Think about if your audited and have paperless statements what do you do? To Digitize those 365 outlook online Emails into PDF's your going to be stuck in a state of monotonous insanity.......Yes there are niche places that offer this service but they need access to your account login and if your okay with that...go for it. Being a law firm with potentially seriously sensitive information at risk I'm sure many people would be on pins and needles going about it that way. FIRST STEP: Isolate the prudent emails by familiarizing yourself with logic AND/OR/NOT, supported search operators, advanced search functions and date delineation to find all emails relating to the subject and date span. SECOND STEP A: After you've perfected your search start at the top email save yourself some time by learning outlook online keyboard shortcuts. SECOND STEP B: Scroll to next email (CTRL + > ) Then to print (CTRL + P) to open print dialog. Be sure to set your print to pdf print driver as your default printer, you only have to do this once. Hit enter and you now select the folder you will be saving these emails in and manually type the filename, hit enter to save. I use consecutive numbers to save all the email pdfs in a organized consecutive order resulting in a chronological ascending or descending order by date. THIRD STEP: Then go back to the email you just saved in outlook online and manually download any attachments sent with that email (I have the saved emails folder opened next to the downloads folder in separate file explorer windows both sized so they fit next to eachother within the second monitor so I can highlight cut (CTRL + X ) from downloads folder and paste (CTRL + V) into the pdf email folder. FOURTH STEP: Now that the email and attachments are in the same folder you can highlight right click and Combine Files in Acrobat (You MUST Have Adobe Pro or Foxit PhantomPDF for this) Arrange the email at the top with attachments below and combine into into a single pdf. This gives you a 1.pdf file with the email correspondence on the first page and the attachments below with integrated bookmarks. FIFTH STEP: Repeat from "SECOND STEP B:" and continuing through 100's sometimes 1000's of emails and attached documents all MANUALLY. FINAL STEP: Once you have your folder with 100's of these pdf's (1.pdf through 177.pdf for example) you again highlight them all and right click. Click Combine Files in Acrobat (You MUST Have Adobe Pro license or Foxit PhantomPDF license for this) Ensure they are arranged in numerical order and combine them into into a single pdf. This gives you a final PDF file with the email correspondence and the attachments all organized automatically with integrated bookmarks to navigate easily. To do this with the desktop Installed Outlook application it is a 30 minute ordeal, rather than a weeks long ordeal depending on the number of emails you need to archive. I hope this helps someone out there, I work for a firm and have suffered learning this the hard way so you don't have to, but if you have to do it with 365 Outlook online the above should give you a decent workflow to get it done. We are trying to digitize and clear up space by digitizing the hundreds of bankers boxes from files over the past 7 years...they are starting to pile up. Moral of the story have at least ONE PC with the Desktop Outlook application installed. This way you have the option of easily backing up emails along with attachments when needed and doing it is only a few mouse clicks away. That is what I am requesting we do as time is money and although I don't mind the money I'd like to make it easy and quick so we can all can move on to more important things and save a couple hundred trees while we're at it!

Fantastic Video. I just have one question, where on earth do you go to download the microsoft 365 desktop programs? When you subcribe to microsoft 365 the only download options are the web apps. No page to download the desktop programs. This is so confusing.

Question: I just joined a company and they do have setup Endpoint for some policies, registering devices, login etc. but the PCs are being setup by us i.e. local IT support. I am exploring the option as per your video but how can I setup a test Profile and assign the some PCs to a new group for testing the apps install etc. The company has 'All Devices' in Included Groups. Hope my question was clear. Thanks

I spoke with an ABM support rep recently specifically to talk about MAIDs (and where Apple was at with them) and they referred to non-managed IDs as consumer Apple IDs [CAIDs?] which I found to be a helpful differentiation to use when they come up in business settings. Avid watcher of the A4B vids! Cheers.
