This is an introduction to the 19th Century Hindu mystic Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, who synthesized various forms of Hinduism and proclaimed the validity of all world religions. In the first part of this video I outline his life and teachings; in the second part I explore the ways he can be of help to us in the modern West (regardless of whether or not we are religious).
I believe Sri Ramakrishna's wisdom can help us understand the nature of God or the ground of being, the relation of this ground to the manifest world, and the nature of Jesus Christ.
