The first time watching this show, every second that passed I couldn't BELIEVE Craster was still alive. Every single time he was on screen I thought he was gonna get stabbed but it took forever

Goddamn dude, Karl was a relatively minor character, but he left an impression. I wish he survived and fled south. Can you imagine if he somehow managed to team up with Ramsay? The sheer brutality would be legend.

What Crester taught he was to do such threats ? Superman ? To be able to face 30 to 50 man all alone. This guy was immediatly killed by just one of them.

I like that little thing the actor does who play Karl does right before calling Craster a bastard again. It's what people do when they are trying to build themselves up to do something they are not quite sure about doing. It is little things like that makes great acting.

His misanthropy and evilness is evident, looked like the worst criminal, able and willing to do anything. Menacing,intimidating,disparaging speech... This Karl Tanner fella had the most punchable face I've ever seen,absolutely scary character, made me hate him instanly,as soon a he delivered the line " Whose throats you gonna cut old man?" Greatest 15 seconds of acting in the A.S.O.I.A.F. universe... Absolute brilliant acting by Burn Gorman, take a bow sir !!! Would love to see him act as the villain in a Hollywood movie,amazing actor!

I love the acting from Karl's actor. Its pretty awesome how he closes his eyes before he calls Craster a bastard the second time. Like he's psyching himself up and thinking "You know what.... this will probably end badly. But....fuck it."

The actor playing karl brings so much to every line he speaks, amazing delivery, that is a great actor. One of the most ruthless characters on the show in only a few scenes.

Not sure if it’s ever mentioned in the show but Book Craster detests the word bastard as he was fathered (either raped or consensual, I can’t remember) by a Nights watch man and a wildling woman. It’s also the reason for his ambivalent relationship with them, and the fact he’s turned into hedonist

In this case, Mormont should have setup camp just outside the walls of Craster’s home. He also should have never let his men see anything inside, neither the food nor the vulnerable women inside, so is not to temp his undisciplined men. With a strong effort they could have made a large igloo and had the men sleep in shifts, while a roaring fire kept them warm all night.
