I love you … more .. every time I see this …. ❤
TYSM! Only good demonstration of the loomis method I could find
This needs more views
Best advice that I've not known before. Well done sir 👍
this video actually helped me drawing a head, tysm!
Where can I get that work sheet from?
www.AlfieBerger.com let me know if you find it! I have a nice 3d loomis head to draw from on the website too! Good luck!
"the goal is not to be perfect" damn that just changed my entire view of art thankyou :sob:
Awww that makes me happy! Let me know anything else you might be struggling with!
There is no Pookie method
Loomis*
What do you mean?
This is a wonderful video, the best lve seen… thankyou so much.
This is the best thing i've found on youtube
Wow! High praise!
As a med student this should be a piece of cake
A superb explanation!
How are you supposed to know the height and width of the smaller circle? like how big it should be?
Hey mahzie, I have a longer video on the loomis that goes over it multiple times. But it’s 1/3 in from both the top and bottom. The bottom of the ear is the bottom of the circle. The top of the ear is the half way point and the brow line. The hair line on the forehead is the top of the circle. Corner of eye is front of circle. Hope that helps!
@ ahh okay I see thanks
Beautiful music. Was that Robert Wagner at .24
Thank you
This video needs more views... All the videos I've seen were only teaching to draw a circle and "do this & that".. Never really explained briefly. The longer videos were only showing how to draw 3 or 4 angles
0:26 anyone knows this guy it feels like I see him before
Elvis
I think this video is liked by so many because of how many head angles he covered. Basically all we need
This was so helpful! Also, you didn't need to do that. I 100% needed to do that😂
This video is PERFECTLY made. Thank you so much for creating this very clear demonstration and exercise -- I think I'm finally going to be able to wrap my head around (no pun intended) this method!
Wow. Wow. Now my doubt is clear about loomis method. For longtime i had confuse about loomis. About the distance from forehead to chin. And jaw. From nose to ear. Now clear. Currently i have been studying the portrait. I am from kuwait. R u from which country bro? ??
Now I'm more interested in your voice 😢😂😂
its not his voice, its an AI voice.
Such a funny image, but the lesson is very important, thank you!
THIS. This is what my autistic ass needed lmao
I will use this and come back once i got it! thank you ^•^
I absolutely love this style of a video! Please do more, maybe one on shading or hands or features on the face. You deserve way more views for this!
Thank you very much, Mr. Berger!
woaahhhhhhh that looks so cool??? this is the first time i ever see someone make stylized realism and it looks so interesting!!
Wait how do you know the sides of the head? That’s one of my biggest problems when using this method lol, like I don’t have a single clue where the side should be so I just randomly draw a circle and end up with someone with brain damage
I had the same problem! I made a RUclips short showing how to find all the landmarks. Check it out and if you still got questions hit me up on ig and we will figure it out!
Wow
This is the best video on the Loomis method, I have watched quite a few, but this one has the cleanest looking heads I've seen yet
How does this not have anymore views is cruel and unjust! 🤯 Channel gems like you deserve so much better and recognition, have a like!
Thank you for such ask awesome comment that really made my day! Please give me any advice or critiques you have Not sure where I’m going wrong!!!
Thank you, you explained this really well. I'm gonna try it today!
Its like im watching a disney film cuz of the music and narration. I love it
Thanks for this video, very interesting how you decompose steps by steps the method ! And i like the classical music + the inspiring words...give the video a "Jedi Master explaining calmly the tips and tricks to his student"!!! Joking aside, it's very good, carry on make videos, i'll watch them!!!
I would take this video to a nice steak dinner
Best comment winner!
Alfie Berger, awesome video keep it up bro
it's a great video, but can i used this methode to create stylised anime character?
Great question! I believe you would just change the proportions to match that anime style. They may be using some 2d hacks to maximize appeal but the real idea behind all of this is training your mind to rotate 3d forms and recognize proportions. After that you can do whatever you want with it because you will be using those skills in anything you you draw. Breaking things down to simple 2d shapes because they are easier for our mind to manipulate and turning those shapes into 3d forms that have volume. So the anime thing should be no different :) I hope you have a great day and that this helps a bit! I really appreciate your comment and question! It gives me the idea that we could make a video in the future demonstrating this!
@@AlfieBerger ty for your answer, have a nice day you too
What do you mean by draw from your shoulder and nut wrist?
Yay button----------->
Aww you made my day! What topic do you want to see covered next? More loomis? Painting? basics ellipses? I’m eager to hear what you would find useful to you!
How about lighting? How to use proper lighting to make the drawing pop?
Great idea I already started working on 3 lighting setups where I’ll have already drawing images you can download and do the lighting studies yourself. Hit me up on ig and I can show you some of the references I’ve been working on. Thank you for the comment and response!!
THANK YOUUU! I've been trying to find good tutorials for drawing heads but most of them are either too vague, or too confusing. This one is incredibly helpful!
Thank you Juniper!! Is there anything you are struggling with specifically? I have a video on the loomis method with a free downloadable worksheet. What are some other topics you would like to see covered? I’m eager to hear your feedback!!! Have a great day!
@@AlfieBerger nothing in particular comes to mind right now, but if i do in the future, i know who to ask! :]
@@AlfieBergerplease give me downadable loomis method worksheets…… i will be grateful ☺️ thank u 🙏 sir
I watched it like a movie. It might be the best practice video I’ve seen, thank u so much🥹🫶🏻
Thank you so much for such a kind comment! What else would you like to see or have help with? I’ve made other videos but this is the only one that has resonated with people. Any input or feedback would need appreciated and thank you for taking the time to write a kind and thoughtful comment like that!!
❤❤❤ thankyou so much
Thank you! What did you find helpful and what other stuff would you like help with?
thank for that
Thank you! Is there anything else you are struggling with or need help with?
Came with the intention of just drawing some hopefully less-deformed human heads. Ended finding some life changing advices. Best head drawing tutorial evah. 10/10
Wow what an amazing comment! Comments like this’s keeps me doing it! Is there any thing else you need help with or struggling with?!
Was expecting only tutorial, Ended up getting positive affirmation about me choosing to pursue art. Thanks :) Highly recommending reading a book called (Mastery by Robert Greene)
Great book! I just finished laws of human nature by Robert. Jammed packed with life changing info! Should I put “ Now life changing advice” on the thumbnail?! Haha is there any other areas in art you are struggling with or need help with? I’m working on some lighting stuff but thought basics like ellipses and perspective might be good.
i hope that the loomis head will help me in the long run 😁
Yeah anything you put time into will help in some form. This mainly helps with the general proportions and then you can start seeing when things are on or off, so it’s definitely not going to be time wasted.
Thank you Alfie, Your voice is very good and also this video. Why don't you try to make use of your voice for narration in documentaries or movies?
Sadly this voice is AI. I tried to make it entertaining for people and I didn’t have the recording equipment or space to do it at the time. Some of my latest videos have my real face and voice. But those are not popular like this one at all. I’m torn on what to do… use my real voice and let people know me. Or keep it entertaining like a nature documentary
Dear Alfie, How did you make use of AI? In my opinion how to simplify drawings is more important than voice. But that voice makes a great impact on the video. It attracts. I feel you should make use of AI and at the same time simplify what you teach in the videos.@@AlfieBerger
