@@Hawkatana that why they said "not forced by localizes" at lot of other pieces of media tend to have forced political themes shoved in by localizers because they want brownie points. Yes this game was the opposite back in the day because a guy dressing up as a girl was seen as more of a sex thing rather then what it's seen as now.

Wait wait wait so let me get this straight so in the original game she didn’t say she was trans but in the remake she is…. Huh tbh I always just assumed she was trans
In the original japanese release, she is described as having been born a man and gets directly misgendered by her sister and goombella (the latter who corrects herself later in the game). This was removed in the English release of the game, but kept in for every other language. The remake undoes this needless censorship, keeping her as transgender in English.

Meh, it probably won't last. We all should know Nintendo's past, and as long as those old executives or higher ups or people who enforce their "quality checks" exist, they probably won't change their ways. They'll let this back in because it should've always been in every single copy of TTYD as it was the original creator's intent, everyone will celebrate, then we'll all go back to the same sterile "Run right and jump to the goalpost" routine. It's happened after Mario Oddyssey, The Wii and Wii U, and the GameCube, and it'll continue to happen for all of eternity. Still, in spite of all of this cynicism, I would like to say. WEEEEEEEE WIIIIIIIINNNNNNN THESE!!!!!!!!!!!
I dont really get what your trying to say here? Is it just about lgtb representation? Cause pearl and marina are like 95% confirmed to be dating in splatoon 3 and thats a recent game. Or is it just about mario getting stale? Cause with wonder amd showtime on top of these remakes it seems nintendo is finally getting over that
@@finnvaneekelen7740 I don't know, I mean those are recent examples and who knows, maybe they are turning around or maybe they aren't, I really do not know what is going on in Nintendo but my inner cynic believes that if something bad can happen, it will happen unless something happens that stops the bad thing from happening.
Nintendo has been WAY better about LGBT representation these days. It still takes a lot to get them to do things, but it's no longer "WE WON'T EVER TOUCH THE SUBJECT" which is HUGE
