What you see in movies like London is very different from other cities! If you are from a small village or a big city would also affect how you are perceived by other people in the UK. 2 Parents work here so it is harder for the family. Best to have your own grandparents preferably Mummy's Mum around and if you don't get along with your inlaws. Best to hire local childcare and babysitters a few evenings if you can't afford too much. There is no point in getting a person who would have to adapt so much and would be paid pittance! They would be hardly able to save to even send home.

Thank you, Ritika! I know most Indian Families need an Aupair or Nanny and they are great to give an environment to our future Desis Abroad. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION IF YOU ARE FROM INDIA even though money seems awesome in Rupees "You have lot of expenses in London" It isn't cheap. You spend in Pounds. If you are young and ambitious this isn't a job for you -as you can be dependent on a family and would have limited time to look for a job or to do such studies. You can also be sexually molested by people in the family when you LIVE IN or have no say in what you eat or where you sleep. Also if you are an old woman you may or may not have Health System depending on your HOST Family. It is the equivalent of "Kamwali Bai" in India and there is no shame in it if that's what you want to do and it is extremely cold! You might have to go back to India on the end of the term so this isn't going to help you to settle immediately like some movies - within 2 Days you get settled. Life of NRI isn't easy and please come for a visit, live with Family, or see your living condition before you agree to come.
