Some lessons learned here using S&Q mode for convenience but it needs locking in manual focus when pointed at sky as it shifted in AFC a few times.

A leafy village street almost attached to the southern side of Thirsk, however it's a place of some antiquity and importance in its own right.

I need to get into timelapse! I find myself rushing when filming need to slow down and get the right shots
Thanks for the nice ride! 🚗
What a beautiful view you have! 🤩
TY. Looks familiar 😢
natures wonders!
Stunning ❤️
Good video and nice music
Aye up Colin, is that up Westerdale, or over looking Great Fryup with little Fryup in the right back?
Dropping down towards Fryup from the Rosedale road - for some reason that road is in a state with really bad potholes and people are driving round them breaking up sides too! It seems to have happened quite quickly through last winter.
Some wilderness there Colin and all that cotton grass growing!
Where is the location Colin? I didn't recognize any of the places.
All within a mile or so of Kildale - up little backroads. The main one where it starts is above little Kildale towards Warren Farm - we used to get straw up there.
What??
Beautiful window, all of it actually. You have a steady camera hand there!
Gorgeous stonework! I must have ridden past this lots of times, is it up a short track? I see a cross on the o.s. map, just up from the junction, but no description/name
Yes there's a generous car park up the track, it is usually open but I didn't go in as there were 4 or 5 others inside.
Lovely ride! I am a big fan of the Dale Head Farm tea room - their scones are of epic proportions.
Yes I was up there too earlier.
Nice ride, but new boots can be a pain - I had to give up one one pair, bought some `trials bike` boots, really good. You may have seen me around - I used to ride a very loud `bullet` now changed to a himalayan - much quieter/horse friendly!
This on CRF250L - my 'winter' bike that I don't mind getting covered in mud or even salt once in a while - it is similar idea to Himalayan relatively underpowered low maintenance and quiet.
Has lock-em-up-Jock of the Yard retired?
Hey, did you have to accept thay you have permission to fly over the new regulations in this area? I just had jt pop up. It was never a problem to fly before :(. But you flew with no problem? Please help, I'm so confused
I've only seen a warning like that once before I didn't realise I was just with exclusion for Dishforth Aerodrome (military planes) when I was in Thirsk town centre - I only wanted a slightly elevated view of a large church. Some of the areas are very temporary e.g major sport event. Sometimes its a mistake DJI can't always get it right and often info is outdated for example might warn if not stop you when you are near a closed airfield. There are other no fly area like prisons might be on their maps.
Looks lovely with the snow, Well done, I have subscribed
the spooky music captured the atmosphere nicely!
beautiful! I am fancying a drone, but it would have to be cheap/used just to see if I would get the use out of it. Have you any tips?
Stick with DJI. The mini2 is probably most affordable. ^ This is mini3 you might get one used quite reasonable - make sure previous owner has unbound from their DJI account it is almost impossible to resolve and get on yours if they don't - it works closely with an app. Editing requires fairly hefty computer power if you record 4K The app does allow basic editing think 'shorts' or instagram on your phone using lower res file.
love the snow (now I am retired), nice video
interesting about the co-op site, i hadnt heard anything
That was a warm one! Think I could just see my motorbike
Just stuning filming! How everything can look so diferent cover by snow, just amazing! Never see snow in my life, just very curiosity how would be the feeling of the so cold weather, how nature reacts, the plants, trees, the birds, bugs, and course, the impact on people lifes and how they deal with.. Hope before i left this world, i can have the privilege of seeing real snow.. and then, i can die happy...
Nice one - it was a great night and my first good sighting of the aurora from the area.
Thanks for the video. I love historical topographical maps, mostly of places I have read about in my years "studying" military such as I know it and the UK, Europe, New England, and Russia are my favorites to gaze at. I live in Maine, USA, and old maps to me are so full off history because of what is NOT on them. Roads, farms, towns, we see now just didn't exist, or the seeds of a settlement that pushed further out and grew into where we sit today began and maybe why. Did that settlement begin because others needed room for their own growth, or were they looking for seclusion. So many questions and you are right, it does become an addiction because the more you look, the more you begin to look for answers, by looking even further....or maybe it is just my OCD kicking up again LOL. Cannot wait to see more. P.S. The Moors themselves are a place I have read about since I was a kid and read Sherlock Holmes and have always fascinated me due to how many books of history it plays a part in. Then add on almost every good Historical Fiction series has at least one book set in the Moors. I cannot wait to watch more now.
In those days it must have been almost as remote as any time in prehistory, There were stage coaches following major routes like London to York but in the moors travel would be seasonal and very few made up road surfaces.
Thanks for the reply sir. Only through historical fiction books have I gotten a glimpse of the Moors. Now I get to see what I read about as it really is. I can only imagine how the seasons must have affected the lives of those who lived there. The Moors are always a place of danger it seems throughout history as it is portrayed in fictional books. The entire UK has always been interesting to me because of the history that leads to the founding of my own country. IMHO @@moorsmedia
Nice song and beautiful countryside view
Unreal footage 👍👍👍
Some amazing landscape, the fog settling into the valleys really was striking - nicely composed!
Wonderful landscape m8.
Nice, really enjoy your videos. is that a new CRF? I thought you had another bike?
I have a Yamaha XSR700 but got the CRF250L in 2013 so it's 10 years old. It's fully road legal but I also use it round farm quite a bit.
Beautiful scenery and countryside. Thanks. Probably won't be as nice when we are over for a visit in October!

A beautiful evening,.
What is the music? It’s so delightful. Great video btw!
Such a lovely peaceful spot. Great view. Wonder what happened for it to be empty.
Just found you and how fascinating this is. Warm wishes from Millionaire Paul :)
bravo-total splendid footage! goodnight. 💪

Can you take the battery out and just run a USB cable to the cigarette lighter?
This video suggests it should work, it might be best to have PD type 12v charger with USB-C both ends of cable as they can supply higher power. It won't start up with ignition or do other dashcam functions like loop overwrite older files. ruclips.net/video/wJJQkAGJkao/видео.html
How has it been using it as a dash cam? It looks good! I’m considering getting the dji cuz all regular dash cams seem to be shit 😂
It may not be the ideal dashcam to run in case of an accident - but you can get very pleasing footage from a journey to edit later if so minded. Best results are in good light, it is inclined to go rather silhouettish if bright sky fills too much frame e.g. going up steep hill. Adjusting camera angle can help minimise bright sky issue but it is a very wide angle so then you get a lot of bonnet instead! The magnetic clip mount is so much easier than attaching it with gopro style screws so easy to remove when parked. This was recorded 2.7k at 25fps and battery would last at least 2.5 hours. At least three hours on 1080p I expect. About 2 hours in 4K You could keep it on charge through USB-C but not sure if there's an easy way to run external mic at same time yet.
@@moorsmedia thank you for the info!
Lowna was the location of a series of unexplained deaths around 1800 Young men were allegedly lured to their deaths (by drowning) by the ghost of a young woman who died there previously in unexplained circumstances. thefword.org.uk/2010/06/sarkless_kitty/
Cracking drone footage showing off a stunning landscape
Those houses would make a good Mastershot. You should try it. Cheers Tony
