Appalachian Mountain Girl - 1943 Gibson Banjo
My rendition of a song that Alan Jackson cut on his project, the Bluegrass Album. That album featured a powerhouse squad of pickers and singers, including my favorite banjo player Sammy Shelor.
This song has always been a favorite of mine with its catchy melody, and I always thought the tone Sammy pulled on this was fantastic. Hope you enjoy!

@luvbgrass its not a hoop banjo, it's an original flathead. I just swapped tension hoops out from a tenor to an RB from the 40s. So it's a full weight banjo!
