You're right, for AI voice agents to be truly useful they need to be integrated with businesses' existing systems (CRM, calendar, booking...). These integrations are already possible though, most development platforms allow us to build tools that can make API calls and talk to these external systems. Automation platforms like Make, n8n... also make integrations easier now compared to before.

@@nathan-huynh Do you know of any way to integrate Open Table or Resy for a restaurant voice agent. Or can you give me some recommendations for the best niche to go by for integrating into the CRM's they are already using. No business is using Google Cal for a CRM

It really depends on the niches you want to target. For me since I'm working with mostly small businesses at the moment, many of them actually use common CRMs that can be integrate with like Airtable, GHL, Zoho, or even Google Sheets.

That's right, the US is leading the way in adoption (still early days even over there), but almost everywhere else, it is still an open market.

Yes you can add more properties about the house, remember to update 1. Database Google Sheets 2. Make automation module that writes to the sheet 3. The prompt to capture the extra information

In Vapi you can buy or import a phone number from Twillio. Once that's done, all you need to do is assign the assistant to that phone number. All these can be done in the "Phone Numbers" tab.

Honestly I'm not sure the latency in ElevenLabs is any better than similar agents in Vapi or Retell. They seem to be on a similar level from my experience, which makes the price not really justified at the moment.

Cheers! I'm not sure how to integrate or make use of the JSON values to be fair. Can you please make a video on that?

In this case, I'm simply using JSON to provide the available timeslots in a format that ChatGPT can understand and work with.

Unfortunately Retell (and most other AI voice development platforms) doesn't allow self-hosting yet as far as I'm aware, although it would be nice.

I checked it out, seems like quite a new platform with limited capabilities for now. What's good about it in your opinion?

I didn't do anything, I'm guessing it's because I'm on one of their paid plans (required for the voice cloning), that's why there's no ElevenLabs branding anymore.

You can just talk like in a normal conversation, it will register as an interruption automatically.

Good topic, currently I have a guideline in the prompt to force the AI to only talk about the right topic and guide the conversation back to the right topic if the user wants to speak about other things. It works most of the time from my experience, but apparently not 100%.

You can add a sentence in the prompt saying something like "Be concise: Respond succinctly, answer in only 3 to 5 sentences per response", that has worked well for me. As for Hostinger, I haven't used it myself to describe the process exactly, but there should be a feature that allows you to embed code, in which case you simply need to copy paste the code from ElevenLabs, and you should be good to go.

It's definitely not perfect, but alreay good enough for a lot of businessed I talk to. And it's only getting better from here.

The data structure for the JSON on make

You can create a new data structure with all the attributes that the Sheets has, then map them with the data you got from the previous step to aggregate the data into the Json format.
