20240802+ Refits: Bill & Boat
Просмотров 67Месяц назад
Bill gets a refit; so, boat work stops (or at least slows) for a few weeks. Jeanne works on the forward berth bed frame at home in between caring for Bill. And we finally install the bed frame on the boat, in its permanent spot.
2024 07 04 HVAC Pumps & Bed Frame
Просмотров 70Месяц назад
The media room HVAC makes a funky sound. We try to sort that out by changing out and lowering HVAC pumps. With plans to move onto the boat in the not so far future, we build a bed frame for the forward bedroom.

Bill is very excited to use his new 3d printer. He makes custom drain spouts, marshmallows (fly-nut covers), grommets/washers for the boat. We install storm windows, fix a couple of instrumentation issues, and spot a couple of manatees swimming near Blue Sky.

"My plan to do a little more work turned into a nice nap, so... I'm done for the day."
Athena.
How ironic that Mads and Ava from Saillife are right next to you. I suspected you guys were in the same marina. Get to know them they are as cool as you too are
We have and are enjoying their work on the new (to them) sailboat.
The under the bed drawers are looking great!!
Thanks, you are too kind.
Fuel polishing? Ok that’s a new term I’ve never heard before.
Blue
Wishing you a speedy and full recovery .. Clinton is still with us...
Great episode! Stay safe and keep rolling along Blue Sky team! 👍👍
We will!
@@BlueSkyTrawler 👍👍
Eww!😬
What, you don't like our walls? 😀
Wow thank God you are ok that is some serious surgery... Be safe and keep rolling! Great episode! Thanks for sharing! 👍👍
Thanks for watching!

OMG, I think you need a different clamp for your pocket hole jig.
Had to rewind; thought you said Laszlo 😮. That is a cool machine
Very impressive! So hi-tech!
Hey, thanks!
I was wondering about you. Welcome back!!
Us too! It's good to be back.
Woo hoo!
Are you guys ok??? Its been awhile since you have posted
Did the hullshield work?
My kitten loves your music and came running to watch
The rear hatches are a design flawfir sure... Imagine a rough following sea! I'm surprised the hatches are not watertight but I await your interesting solution
Looking forward to your sea trials and travels.....
Someone swiped your slip? A squatter? Do they have “tow” boats there to pull them out? 😳🤔
Great episode! Thanks for sharing! Stay safe and keep rolling BST crew! 👍👍👊👊
Great video. Nice shots of the boat under way. Thank you👍
We have some dmx lights setup at our school auditorium and we have home assistant. Could you give more detail about how you set it up and brought it into home assistant. The last few times I looked into this it seemed like a pretty big hassle. Not straightforward or intuitive for someone who is not a programmer.
If I play that music at my house will I be able to clean at 5x speed? i do love that music. Late For Class 👍
Iridium thought they were gifting Bill a hoodie! Thank you Iridium for my hoodie! I do let Bill wear it occasionally.--Jeanne
Jeanne, I like your sweatshirt. 😉
Looks nice!!!👍
Wow your ship is amazing with the new fit out and all the new equipment Very nice job 👏 Well done ❤
Is the felt what goes on the walls?
Yes. Those are acoustic felt tiles for the office. It was either that or padded walls for Bill's office.
ROTFL! Oh yes, Bill working in an office with padded walls. Yes I can see that.
I don’t know why but walls, a floor and a desk makes me really happy for you. 😊
No one can accuse you of taking the easy way out. At the sacrifice of space you could have put straight walls in but chose not to. Im eager to see what the Feng Shue factor is when its done.
Feng shui went out the window for the office. Oh wait, there is no window in the office. While sitting at his desk his back will be towards the door. I think that's anti-fs.
I guess a computer screen counts as a window @@BlueSkyTrawler
That’s impressive detail! A ton of hard work and time to make it all fit!!! 🎉 💪 ✅
I admit it. I laughed when the suction cup device didn’t work. 😂😮😊
The matter Anti matter pods can't take it anymore Captain!!
OMG! You’re talking resets here too? Nooooo!
Hello sir, to enable the artnet protocol on home assistant, did you use the ha-artnet-led integration? Thank you
I think it's an HAS plug-in. Will check when back on boat.
@@BlueSkyTrawler thank you very much, I've been trying to make this work for a few weeks without success..
I'm using Art-Net LED Lighting for DMX which comes from the Home Assistant Community Store (HACS). Instructions for loading it are here: github.com/corb3000/ha-artnet-led From your comment above it appears to be what you are using. What issue(s) are you having?
@@BlueSkyTrawler Hi did you have the yaml code you used to configure the lights on github or anywhere?
Ginger, think long and hard before you set sail with Gilligan
Oh my goodness!!! Y’all are working too hard!!! 😂 Lol!!! ❤🎉 Keep it up!!! 💪
Curve conquered!
Why do you need to use Beau Clips?
To make wall panels removable. We have also used neodymium magnets to attach panels to steel frame.
Awesome video! A little dicey throughout but we made it through, cheers!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Stay tuned. More geeky engineer ing to come.
Very cool skiing!!! ❤
Working hard as always!!!!

uh... lots?
300 boxes. I'm glad to hear Jeannie is back on the job with you!
Looking good!!!
Any update on how it worked for you?
It has not stopped all growth but it does seem to slow it down and we're not seeing any barnacles. We are going to be pulling the boat out to have new bottom paint applied in a month or so and at that point we'll be able to do a full inspection.
