River Dee Scotland kayak descent

Kayak descent of the River Dee, Scotland, Linn of Dee to Aberdeen. Over 110km of mostly white water. 3 night camping. Can you claim it is unsupported if you buy a coffee in Ballater?! Amazing adventure on the doorstep.

Well done guys, nice video. Thinking of taking the Banchory to Aberdeen section on in a drop-stitch bottom inflatable (Aquaglide Navarro) - any hazards to think about on that stretch?

Hey guys really info packed, appreciate as considering doing the Dee on my own in an open canoe…however clearly quite a lot of grade 3 so not sure now… especially this time of the year. What time of year did you guys go? I’ve done the Spey on my own and a few odd bits of grade 3, not sure about this one

Have you seen this post ? ruclips.net/video/MiNd17inl7w/видео.html The Dee goes relatively easily in an open canoe when water levels are up from the minimum 0.6 at Polhollick . Quite technical at lower levels… and definitely a bigger challenge than the Spey as you have noted.

I enjoyed that and I'm no kayaker but I was brought up on the River Dee so nice seeing it from a different angle.
