their first highschool relationship was the best romantic relationship in the series IMO. like season 1 was top tier. And then after jess got introduced rory's character went down hill and kept going lower... honestly everyone's did. it was the most frustrating 6 seasons after that... especially because it took luke and lorelair so long to get together and ten they broke up and it took them so long to get together again UGH it was so frustrating. anyways, this song breaks my heart, and the end of their relationship in season 2 breaks my heart and this was a PERFET song and edit for them!

I was in my late 20s when I really had my heart broken for the first time. We broke up the week of my 30th Birthday. We had been together almost 9 and a half years. He cheated on me after 7 years. We were engaged at that point, and his "mistress," was married. I have another name for her. She told my ex her husband was abusive, god knows what he told her about me. Our very first date was December 28th, 1990, when I was 20, and we broke up May 2000. He turned my whole world upside down and inside out. The greatest pain I ever felt until I lost my best friend of 8 years last year, March 9th, 2023. He was my ACTUAL true love, not my ex. I thought my ex was the love of my life, but boy was I wrong. The love of my life was my best friend of 8 years. Things do eventually get better but it takes a very long time, unless you heal quickly. Eventually you will meet someone new, when the time is right and you are completely healed. Don't give up on finding love.

You have to take responsibility for your part in things and learn from it. This song and her intention by releasing it was a childish swat at him. Great video. I really loved Dean and Rory together until Jess came and broke them up. Of course Rory had a part in that too but Dean and Rory were the best high school romance that I'd every seen on tv. By the time Rory left for college it had run it's course and they really couldn't go backwards even though they tried to . Logan was the best forever boyfriend but Dean was the best high school boyfriend in my opinion.

Hands down the best song on Speak Now...I'll fight anyone who says this does not belong up there with All To Well....This itself is a taylor masterpiece...6+ mins of total heartbreak..again it just goes by and you don't realize that 6 mins has passed...so a 20 min version no problem Taylor :):):)....This and Last Kiss as I have said before are my favs on Speak Now...but I love every track...That's why it's my Desert Island Disc....
