Sony Stereo Receiver STR-K502 (DE575) - problem with sound cutting out on speakers
Sound cuts out after few minutes turning on, tapping box returns sound. Diagnosis: Speaker relays have cracked connection to board - resoldered underside connection -FIXED ! DO NOT remove any of the ribbon cable or other connections. Instead, Remove ALL screws (~40), including transformer base. Using a file clip, Clip the power board and main board together. Rotate the entire mother board vertically, dragging connected daughter boards with it, to expose underside.

How to repair electrical problems on the nespresso C90 and D90 machines (XN200x, XN210x in europe). If you add a direct pump power button, make sure it supports 120VAC! I used a momentary contact button (SPST hold it down to power pump) on the C90, but a toggle button or switch should work too. NOTE: Make sure you choose the correct ta/keyway to break. It's the one toward the center of the desk (the longer part of the leg joint).
I am having trouble removing the water tank from the back to re-fill. All of a sudden it' stuck and doesn't want to shift! Any suggestions?

Yes. Soldered all relay contacts. Worked! ..(read description notes for disassembly tips)
To be clear... mine was not going into "protect.".. but may have eventually(?)

I also have a C90 and I’d like to know how to remove the metal plate with holes that the large end of the coffee capsule is pushed against and is where the water pushes the coffee through. I think I need to clean all of the holes as water that is not going through the capsuleis dropping down into the capsule bin when I make coffee. I’m able to remove the spout on the front but apparently I need to disassemble the unit to get to that part? Thanks in advance for your help.
My experience has been taking it apart is not worth to clean. Suggest a toothbrush and simple vinegar. Run vinegar through the machine too.
1. Why would vinegar go through it if water won’t? 2. Is it that difficult to disassemble? Thanks for responding.

Thanks for the video URL but it didn’t show how to remove the circular metal plate. It was about the pump. How many times do you think I’ll need to pass vinegar through the machine for it to clear the holes?
I’ve run vinegar through the machine by filling the water tank about 30 times. After the 2nd tank, the water stopped dripping out from within the machine so I thought the issue had been resolved. So I opened the handle to let the excess water to escape, closed the handle (as if it had a pod inserted) and started on a 3rd tank of vinegar and the dripping from within began again. It’s as if a vacuum is occurring after running a couple of tanks and not opening the handle and that vacuum is stopping the leakage. So in effect, the usage of vinegar after 5 tanks had not cleaned the holes in that metal plate. So I ran around 25 tanks of vinegar without opening the handle, and again, the leakage stopped on the 2nd tank. So after running an additional 23 tanks without opening the handle, again, there was no leakage. After those 30 tanks, I again opened the handle to allow any leftover vinegar to escape, I closed the handle and began running a new tank and the leakage started again. My question is this. After removing the sides of the machine, as well as removing the spout, what do I remove to get that circular metal disk out to clean the holes with a wire and what size wire do I need to use? (I forgot to tell you that I also used a toothbrush in the aforementioned process of running vinegar through the machine.

Turn it over and remove the screws. Lots of YT videos on how to disassemble.

1.mark the bad keys with tape. 2. Take it apart. 3. Follow the traces to the keys with a continuity tester. Good luck

Under Default Apps - Email - I click on mail & choose a app comes up. I use Outlook for email & there is no option to choose Outlook. How do I get Outlook to be default app? Thanks
You need to first create a shorcut file to the outlook app, then drop that in the folder indicated on video.
@@tek4u22 when I go to all apps there is no Outlook app. I can't find the app to make a shortcut
@@billcarnutbill3486 idk if this is still helpfull now but just press windows key + r then type in shell:AppsFolder then you should be able to see thhe mail app from there just right click and click on make shortcut

@@tek4u22 it’s ok I’ve found another way I simply have my email logged in on my laptop mail app it’s self then go into my email locate the paper clip attachment icon the click that and it’ll take me to the gallery section where I can extract my documents from there so it’s like an alternative rather than sending the documents to my email I can just extracted it from my gallery section Instead problem solved DONE ✅
Curiously I have a near-identical problem. I have like 6 keys out on the upper side of the keyboard. Examining the board , I see one of the traces appear to be fried over like 3 in on the board. I love your jumper fix, and I can see on the right side where to jump it, but on the left side, the traces all sorta just disapear under s black strip so Im not sure where to jumper it TO!
Yikes. Hopefull you can carefully lift the strip or find another common point with the continuity tester. Good Luck.

No clue. Suggest you go to ikea customer service and they usually give you the missing small bits/screws for free.

very helpful - I suspect I have a very similar issue. Al the C and F# above middle-C are dead. I'll be carefully inspecting the PCB once I get this monster disassembled again!
Mine seems to blink twice fast then pause? The pump works if I turn it off and hold the button down and turn it on. So pump seems to work. Any ideas?
My guess would be, first try changing the capacitors.

Sorry, dont know that model. Suggest you open it up and carefully disconnect hoses, see if water flowing along path.
Argh, I bought a whole new circuit board b/c I couldn't follow the continuity very closely. It works now, but could've saved a good bit of time and money if I had seen this first! Thank you!

Check the user manual to make sure its not in Cleaning Mode. If not that, its likely one of the capacitors.

Yeah. Sorry should have restarted video. Basically, find where the track is open with a continuity meter, then solder a wire to rejoin the track.
Did you use a wiring schematic to figure out the track? I have two C's and two G sharps that are dead. Please help! I think I have close to the same issue with you but I have no obvious corrosion to chase after
thank you for the help. this does work for "send to". However, i get this message whenever the computer starts up. I have tried creating a new user on the computer and got the same results. Any other ideas?
If its at startup, it could be your e-mail program did not install correctly. If your using a MSoft product your can try to "repair" the install - see here support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/repair-an-office-application-7821d4b6-7c1d-4205-aa0e-a6b40c5bb88b If its a separate client (like ThunderB, mailbird etc) I would suggest un-installing your e-mail program, then re-install it, and make it the default e.mail program again when it asks you. Let me know your results / program etc. regards

Thanks for great video. Would love to know how it turned out. My 1999 galant desk legs are no longer adjustable so I’ll be trying this out as my next project. I’m hoping that the thyge desk base lines up neatly with the old galant desk top because then there’d be no need for sawing those little bits off - but from this video I guess that prob won’t be the case or you wouldn’t have needed this hack(?)
I vaguely recall the screw holes did not line up. You could drill new holes with inserts I guess.
@@tek4u22 I actually got the new thyge legs and simply followed your instructions (including sawing off the extra tabs) and it has turned out perfectly! Thank you again for sharing this video!

May I ask all you need to do is to sawing off 1 extra tabs on the new Thyge leg only & can put it back to the Galant metal frame? is there any other extra work (eg. drill holes, etc.) that you need to do on that Thyge leg? tks in advance for your reply. :) GF

I found a repair kit on eBay that lists the capacitor as 680nF, 275V. That's for Europe.
Thanks for this tips! Using the same process, have six keys G to C in a row not working. Circuit diagram pointing to one trace from those keys all the way to main 27-pin connector. Using a simple meter tracing, it’s tracked down to a corrosion on the board somewhere around C3, yes wet fingers, sweat, or tears from being emotionally moved by my own performance;P Soldered a wire end to end, all good now.

Thanks for the video, I have another question about the compact brewing kit, I accidentally put the wrong capsule in and somehow brake the compact brewing kit that the thing doesn't push the capsule all the way through which means the capsule can't poke holes correctly. can I fix it? or I need to replace it with a whole new part? Thank you
Not sure, me repairs were limited to electrical problems. Sounds like you need to replace the plastic housing though.
The open on the printed circuit was actually between the wire solder points, near the rusted solder joint. Similar problem can exist for any regular dead key sequence.

Galant has been discontinued 10yrs (?). Buy Thyge legs, that come with screws.
Heh...very helpful! IKEA had to make a totally needless modification otherwise you wouldn’t need to buy their new legs.. Thank god for DIY skills ❤️ Ps. I wonder if you could paint them over or will the paint peel right off.. Eg. spray paint, wall paint etc Assuming the legs will be adjusted just once so that the paint won’t get scratched.. thank you :)

dont thinks so.. screws do not line up. Of course, you could drill new holes and inserts.
Thanks. I had a client give me two surfaces and frames for extending my Galant. Need legs to support the additional length of the structure and mine are already in silver. Great info.
The bottom portion of my Galant A frame legs were overtightened and are now broken. Can the Thyge legs be used just for the lower adjustable potion?

It "should " work, the legs are identical, less the metal tab.
