Dying (and rising again) was the most HE could do for us, the least we can do is live for HIM. Our life is HIS gift to us, what we do with it is our gift to HIM. As Christians, this life is the only hell we'll ever face, whereas the non-Christian, this life (as painful, upsetting, and tragic it can be) is the only "heaven" they'll ever experience. If Job, Stephen, Paul, John the Baptist, nor JESUS HIMSELF could ever give up on the FATHER through all their pain and sufferings and tragedies they faced, then how on earth could we ever possibly consider doing so with what we face? We don't get all of our wants but HE does meet all of our needs. One grain of sand of a lifetime compared to all the rest of the sand on the entire beach and in the entire world, still doesn't compare to the eternity that awaits of no more pain, tears, or sorrow (Revelation 21:4).
