Not at all. In fact I would say that starting with an instrument can help you become a good vocalist as a beginner. I first learnt harmonium and keyboard, and then singing along while playing I managed to pick up vocals also, and later I was able to focus more on vocal.

No, not as of now :) I am pursuing a PhD, so that occupies most of my time.

I have learnt Harmonium from Harmonium Maestro Shri Palladam Venkataramana Rao. You can find his recordings on RUclips also. Of course, the alapana portions are my own creativity.

Notes are very complicated, almost impossible to write down. I played this on the spot, it was not rehearsed. You can search the scales for the three Ragas Shivaranjani, Kapi, Sinudhubhairavi and try to play something on your own.
