Theres supposed be only one sc between the rise and falls instead of 2 like everything else. This might be what youre doing bc it what i was doing

Hii! It's always good to use the recommended hook for your thread/yarn, but you can still use a smaller hook if you want your project to be very tight. Hope this helps

Hii! Yes, the chain 2 does not count and when you work 12 DC you are going have 12 DC, ( make sure you end your round 1 on top of your chain 2) Then you will 2 DC in the same chain 2 , and you are going to have 24 DC. Hope this helps
