I live in Westerville and I would like to live in German Village but TOO EXPENSIVE!! I think the average home in German Village is around $600k compared to Westerville at about $250k to $300k.

My dad and my uncle worked for Franklin Art Glass for years and years. I remember going through the shop and seeing the glass in big sheets. I remember seeing some of the picture windows my dad was working on....I still have some lamps that my dad made for us. He made so many that all of us kids and some of the grand kids got lamps. When I was about 12 (around 1974) our family rolled lead for the company. The lead came in really long pieces, we rolled it into circles and put them in baggies. We made extra money doing this. My dad made the stained glass window in our church in around 1976. Frebis Ave, church of God. My dad is Jerry Darst and my uncle Kenny Darst. My dad passed away in November 2012.

I'm a Duckworth who moved to Columbus in the 80's from WV and I currently live in German Village but I know no other Duckworth's on the South Side. It would be interesting to meet some of them!

As a student at OSU I would get a bus to the fairgrounds to watch OSU and especially Robin Freeman. Memories play tricks on people but I thought he had a jump shot like no other I have ever seen. I thought he would jump, arch his body backwards and release a high arching shot that was impossible to block. In high school, at the time, the two hand set shot was the shot we would use from the outside. Iowa was favored to beat us in one game, but at the end of the game they would give the ball to Freeman and as I recall he made the last 7 shots in a row to win the game. Are their any videos of freeman playing? I would love to see them if available. Bob Bryant
