My vet instructed me to give sub q just like this video. It can be given both ways

@@PlottyTooHotty While of course you could inject it that way, even the manufacturer clearly states it most effective when given instramuscular.

I am working closely with my rehab vet who gave me instructions to give sub q. This allows us to give these injections at home, savings us money, time and saving my dog stress from extra vet visits. Though it may not be the *most* effective way to give this medication, this is the best option for me and my dog at this time.

Grounding as in anxiety grounding?

Anxiety grounding? Yes? But also grounding if the dog is too excited in a new space or fearful or over-aroused. The same pattern can be used of any of those cases. You were not far off at all :)

Good question, I am not 100% sure. The end goal is to have a nice fold back down. I think this intermediate step of getting a backward weight shift is probably more for core strength and muscle memory. I am for sure not doing this exercise for rear-end awareness, but it is probably improving that as well.

From what I can tell, better. She seems to be able to extend her rear legs further than before surgery.

That is the hope Richard and seems to be true so far. She will be 8yr old in November.

Exactly, she is recovering from back surgery from a bulging disc and needs to build core and rear end strength. You are spot on.
