School of Rock . Huh What a racket I wonder how much these poor kids parents are shelling out? Yeah they might learn what stage right and left and upstage and downstage means. But I seriously doubt they're being taught anything about the industry at all. Even on a local level they are not getting the education they need. On how reality is in the clubs. This is what a great way to set up disappointment for a lot of these young musicians. I know this is fun for the kids but this is a giant money grab.

Okay, I’ve watched hundreds of these videos. I’m also an SoR parent whose kid was the front woman for the SoR House Band for 2.5 years. Her band opened for the Smithereens. I’m telling you all this for the student musicians so they at least know I have some credibility AND THAT WAS A TERRIFIC PERFORMANCE. Honestly, it looked like it was video’d using a dripping overexposed cauliflower camera but even with that obstacle you talented teens (who may no longer be teens) sang and played your asses off. The lead and harmony vocals were friggin’ spot-on and exciting and the guitars, bass & drums never stopped driving the song. My wish … you’d find a way to regroup and reshoot the video properly. Even as is you should have a 100K views. I hope you’re all still playing and singing! My best wishes! Chris in New Jersey
