There's an interview that she did with 3 other male tennis players that tells you a lot about Sloane. Here were my takeaways: a) for Sloane tennis is just a job, it's not an intense passion as it is for the great greats b) Sloane feels like the results dont necessarily always align with winning titles, she says you can play your best tennis and be ranked 60 and still go out in the 3rd round of a major. c) she does still want to be heavily involved in tennis and is focused on many endeavors around tennis that she's also passionate about d) considering that she started tennis at age 9 (which is SUPER LATE) , she feelts that she achieved so much e) even though she lost that French Open, everything after the US Open win was just "icing on the cake" , meaning she felt like she had enough to retire and live well and she was going to retire but was encouraged by her team to just keep going, so she did. f) she seems really set and content with proving that you don't need to be Roger Federer or Serena to be successful at tennis and she's 100% right, as there are plenty of players that have never won slams that live great lives off tennis.

I get two weeks off a year like most people. What these whiners really mean is they want time off - not to rest - but to play exhibitions that pay more than 250's and 500's. Both those two have drastically changed in their attitudes since winning a slam and need to take a lesson from Sinner in maturity and respect.

the season is way too long. when Venus Serena were young in the 2000's, the season was over at the end of October. Players had all of November to rest and December to train. Now, it''s just too much.
