Hi there, The two issues we see the most with external hard drives involve File Format & Power Requirements. Android Tablets are only able to read drives that are formatted in a FAT File Structure. If your hard drive is formatted to be NTFS that would explain why you can see your files on your Desktop/Notebook, but not on your Android Tablet. If this is the case you'll need to backup your files and reformat the drive. Alternatively, if your hard drive requires more power than the Android Tablet can provide that would be another reason why the drive isn't showing up. I'd recommend trying a smaller USB Flash drive to see if you can read the contents since it likely requires less power to access. - LAVA Team

Hi @Stunseed, all of our SimulCharge devices should work with most simple USB devices. As long as the Tablet, or Phone, can detect and communicate with the device over OTG it should work. That being said, when dealing with a camcorder there is usually a lot more going on in terms of driver, however, if the Phone/Tablet can detect the camcorder over OTG there is a good chance it should be compatible. Hi there, we haven't used a ugreen ethernet converter, however, based on our experience if the Ethernet text is greyed out on the Tablet that usually indicates that the Tablet isn't detecting the ugreen hug, or the ethernet chip used in the isn't supported by the Tablet. - LAVA Team

Hi there, our devices are more targeted to situations where you may need to access your peripherals for long periods of time. Let's say for example you're watching a large video on your USB Drive, our device would allow you to keep your device charged up while you're watching the video, as opposed to having the device slowly drain. This is just one possibility, but if you extend the idea out to other peripherals, such as a USB-Mouse, or Keyboard, there are a number of possible applications for this device. - LAVA Team

Unfortunately, the only way to change the file format of a drive is by reformatting, and by doing that you would completely erase the contents of the drive. So before you look into changing the file structure of your drive we always recommend backing up any critical data that you don't want to lose. - LAVA Team

Same here, no special box needed, just a OTG Y adapter cable. On Sony devices you don't even need to pay attention to the plug order. Just connect, data and simultaneous cahrging work out of the box.

@@TheBismrk its not a hardware issue as there are some 3rd party apps which allow you to write to the NTFS storages like you already know, it can be fixed with software

Hi there, we are mostly focused on the charging adapters as opposed to Camera control software, so the video is more about what is possible with our hardware. That being said, the SM-T733 (i.e. Galaxy Tab S7 FE) should be able to work with our Charge-Plus product with a small caveat. Based on our Testing the Sm-T733 did have some issues with redetecting the Charge-Plus when going from an unpowered to a powered state, in this situation, you would need to reconnect the Charge-Plus from the Tablet to redetect it. Hi there, Android devices can only read hard drives with a FAT file structure. So yes, if you have a hard drive with an NTFS file structure then you will need to reformat it to be FAT32 or exFAT in order for Android to be able to read it. However, you MUST back up all of your data first, since formatting the hard drive will wipe out all the data from the hard drive. - LAVA Team

@@LAVA-LINK tq for Yr info.. But for me, my Samsung tab s5e cannot read my external ssd, but my hp Samsung a53 and honor 90 can read the external ssd.. Because my Samsung tab not support ntfs, I use paragon app from play store to read my external ssd at my Samsung tab. Tq so much sir..

That is difficult to say, but I'm sure Android has plenty of ways to make sure that their devices don't get corrupted while still using a FAT file structure. - LAVA Team

Hi there, Unfortunately, yes! Formatting a hard drive will remove all the data from the hard drive. So if you do format an NTFS drive to FAT32, you will need to back up your data first, otherwise, you will lose all of it. - LAVA Team

Hi there, yes assuming there is available space on your Tablet you should be able to transfer files from a USB flash drive, or external hard drive to your Tablet, assuming that the external drive is in a file format that Android can read, such as FAT. Hi there, while we haven't had a chance to test the SM-X700 ourselves, we have heard reports from customers that have been successfully using the SM-X700 with our products. That being said the SM-X700 appears to be a very power-hungry tablet, so I would strongly recommend looking at our Fast Charging product (lavalink.com/lavasimulcharge/product/esync-vc3u-f/) in order to keep the Tablet charged up. As for running a Virtual Linux Machine on the S8, that is something that we have never done, nor been asked about before, so unfortunately I can't make any promises about being able to make that happen using our hardware. - LAVA Team

As I said we don't have any experience running Virtual Machines on Samsung Tablets, nor have we used the SM-X700, but based on what we're hearing it should support Simultaneous Charging. Given that, going with our 3U that supports fast charging would allow you to access a number of connected USB peripherals while keeping the Tablet Charged, which would be a good alternative to a Laptop. - LAVA Team

Hi there, our device doesn't specifically output power, but rather it puts the Tablet into a mode where it can share the power from a power supply with a connected peripheral, which allows the Tablet to communicate with a peripheral and receive a charge. Ultimately the power being delivered to a peripheral would depend on the wattage of the connected power supply and the amount of power the Tablet requires for its baseline operation. Since we don't have any control over how much power a Tablet is willing to share, and it varies from one Tablet model to the next, there is no hard and fast rule of how much power will be provided to a Tablet. That being said, minimizing the power requirements of a Tablet, such as enabling battery-saving features and reducing screen brightness will usually increase the power to a peripheral, but YMMV. @@difalaudza Hi there, the short answer is yes, it always comes down to the Power Supply that you're using since that is what provides power to the system. Ultimately the Tablet controls how much current it will draw, and conversely allows connected peripherals to access. So if you have a power supply that is capable of providing a huge amount of power there is no guarantee that the Tablet will use all the available current. In terms of the energy loss on our hardware, it is relatively insignificant, so any discrepancy between the Power being provided to our hardware and the Power being reported by the Tablet is due to the Tablet not feeling the need to draw more power. - LAVA Team

Hi there, while a USB-C hub allows you to access the files on a USB drive, it won't give you the ability to power your mobile device at the same time, which is what our devices allow you to do. PC is usually used to refer to a Desk computer. Laptop is used to refer to a portable computer. it maybe not right, but it is what it is.

Using wireless charging at this point is easier

@@LAVA-LINK but when you are pluging it into the laptop , besides accesing files it also charges at the same time , which means already no battry drain you can also plug the usb on the other side of your pc or laptop and exhange files through your pc , which even more easier

For example, if you wanted to watch a video on your USB stick while you're travelling. Not everyone is going to have access to a Laptop/Desktop in addition to their Tablet.
