EL NIÑO Pow // Crystal Mountain POV highlights
Просмотров 1,2 тыс.Месяц назад
My Best ski POV 2024 - Mostly shot at Crystal Mountain in the Pacific Northwest. A highlight reel of the 23 - 24 Ski Season. It wasn't the best year to be honest... Big storms would blow in cold and dump loads of snow but end warm and top everything off with rain. Despite the low snowpack there was still many excellent ski days, some of my best ever. The cold spring made the season go longer th...
Fun Poppin Tops lap with Cbreezy and his aMTB
Просмотров 3614 месяца назад
Popping Tops Trail at Raging River, in Washington State is so much fun. More fun when following another shredder! I met Cole while filming at Evergreen MTB Festival and we agreed to meet up for a Popping Tops lap. I'd never ridden with an aMTB rider before and was blown away by Cole and his riding style. Sick rider, sick rigs, riding bikes is rad!

Convinced me to pull the trigger on the Whitewalkers. Been on JJs for years and the fun you were having on the WWs has me sold. Love your comment on creatively soul surfing fun lines. Great review and awesome footy.
Sick!! There the friggin best, I hope there’s many pow days for you this season! Thanks for dropping a comment, happy skiing!
Just fell on your channel, this is some quality skiing and videography. As a fellow PNW skier, the trees and snow remind me of my home mtn White Pass, except less trees and more chutes.
Thanks Eric! Ooh I got to ski at White Pass for the first time last year. We had a 6 inch pow day, it was super fun!
@Henrihalle most of the mountain is mellow, but the trees are tight, steeps hard to find(in a good day), and weekdays are usually by yourself.
@@ericmehling3620 It seems like a mountain that really rewards people with the local knowledge of where to find the great skiing. We still had a ton of fun! Found good tree skiing towards the back of the mountain and took a hike out through one of the gates. It was rad!
Free the heel free the mind
Watching this has me so stoked for this season. See you on the hill
Yeaaa buddy!!! See you out there ❄️❄️❄️
watching this every day till it snows is my version of a snow dance
Amen 🙏 love that
1:36 drowning
🤤
don’t get my HOPES UP
hopes and dreams are all we have! And they're high af
Great videos. More of those days coming this year to the PNW.
Thanks homie! It's going to be a good year :)
🤙🤙
Also, was this with high exposure,( could u see this with the naked eye)
I could definitely see the milkyway with the naked eye. The long exposure brought out the colors of the stars a bit more.
It's just too beautiful!!!
I love skiing so much
Heck yea!
Underrated RUclipsr
Wow
Rippin!!
that's wild!
Right?! Cole and his sit cycle is a machine
Nice never seen any video like this before.
Thanks for the feedback
Dope!
Hehe yea buddy!
Dude this looks amazing
The skiing was terrible but it was a great time
She's rippin 🔥
Absolutely shredding
Cool👍💓🤩
Wear a helmet
Too cool for school man
casual did a back flip
Totally unintentional 😂 it wasn’t till I was upside down did it occur to me to tuck for it.
What does this say about Minolta CL? :D
I'm not sure, I haven't tried that camera
OMG - Where?
Crystal mountain WA!
BRO!!
Hahaha turns out what I assumed was lil roller at the bottom was a massive wind lip 😂
That looks so good I wish I could be there
Just spoke to an oracle, there will be more days in your future 🔮
Great video! Fantastic photos!
Many thanks!
was there those days, probably the deepest snow I've had at crystal
Oh heck yea 🤘🤘
Nice video! I was looking for a similar set up! What are the backpack dimensiones? Are the waist straps removable?
I'm not sure if the waist straps are removable or not. They don't seem to be. Weight: 3.3 lb / 1,490 g TORSO SIZE 18" - 21" / 45.7 - 53.3 cm
@@Henrihalle Is the torso size, the high of the entire backpack? I just ask cause I need to know if I can bring it on an airplane as personal size. And I cant seem to find the W x H x D dimension
ooh gotcha! Yea this is torso sized. I just flew with it as a second back back. The first one was bigger on my back and I put the stash 30 on my front and they let me on the plane
Man I think this is exactly what I need as well. Maybe 40L to carry multiple drones and batteries.
Mmm yea a lil more space would be nice. It just has a top bubble thing that is annoying to me
I’ve always wanted to get some awesome drone shots while skiing, but I’m not allowed to fly it in the resorts I frequent. Curious if you had to get special permissions to fly at Crystal?
Hey, yea we had a contract with the marketing department. So we had permission to fly and all the ludicrous insurance requirements to go with it. It is totally fine to fly in the back country on the opposite side of Crystal
Yes good vibes and great place to live...🌈...never try the Powabunga, but I own a couple of fat powder skis like the Fat-ypus A Lotta 140 underfoot, I Rock 126, Whitedot Redeemer 128 but the best of the best big boy for me, is the Down skis Countdown 1 135 underfoot, playful like I suppose the Powabunga with the stability of the Line Blade optic 114, and still good when you have to go back on the slopes, They've stopped to make skis unfortunately.
ohhh sick I saw the Fat-ypus in person for the first time the other day. What a monster!!! I'm going to look up the Down Skis 135. Sounds Rad. Maybe there's some floating around out there. Thanks for your comment!
what run is this
It’s called Johnson’s chute. Over in the short north zone
What a fuckin video
Thanks for watching!
Thats sick, how wide are your skis?
The k2 reckoners are 112mm wide (white and black skis) The Line Optics are 114 (orange skis) The Line sakanas are 105ish (blue skis)
What do I do if I live in a country with no snow?
Come visit 😊
“Powdergasm” could be interpreted in one too many ideas haha. Great video!
😉 thanks friend!
What mountain is this?
Crystal Mountain!
I think you had deeper pow than we did on our two-week trip to Japan!
😂😂 less sushi here tho
Wouldn't it be crazy if there was a secret link to all the full powder runs of January hidden in the description?
🔥🔥🔥
One of the best weeks ever
straight up
any tips for keeping snow off the gopro max lens when shooting pov?
The thing that I've had the best success with is trying to match the temperature of the lenses to the snow. So instead of the snow melting and sticking when snow hits the lens it hopefully hits it and blows on by. I'll dunk both lenses in snow for a minute before skiing a line or expose it to the air for a couple minutes. It's a tough game to play, balancing lens temp and battery temp. I carry my max in an outside pocket while I'm not filming and keep an extra battery in an inside pocket. Hope this helps!
crystal has some terrain !
Ohh yea, it’s rad
Best conditions of all time at Crystal.
Straight up, might have been the best few days of my life
That takes skills stay safe man
Thanks man, definitely trying to keep the base side down 🤙
Jan 5th first tracks broke my brain for a solid 30 minutes.
Straight upppp glad you got it
Glorious!
