Excelente máquina.
Good., Helicóptero? ...
I'm a bit surprised that there wasn't someone inside that engine bay, eating their dinner off of it.... spotless! Thanks for doing your 'big circle', I saw things I haven't seen in similar videos, like the air gap in the tail boom, and I have not seen the way the tail rotor blades pivot quite like that before. I appreciate it isn't easy to film this due to the restricted areas and the speed at which everyone seems to fly round all the checks, so well done for covering it so well. Ray is the cautious voice of reason you would want to be looking after your helicopter. Regarding the baggage door being secured, he stressed the importance for it being checked and why items within should be restrained - in a very sensible way. I love that 'can't be too safe' attitude. I'm still amazed how beautiful the good old JetRanger looks. It is a timeless shape and has always been, and always will be my favourite.
Chinook appears to be the leading school near me,. Although, not by much, as BC has some renowned schools/instructors. Chinook (CYXX) will likely be my pick for the CPL-H program, as they offer a proper degree and have the best opportunity for networking & finding future work. A license to learn to fly seems nice, but it is worthless without solid connections and a network behind it. This is something that Heli-College Canada's (CYNJ) seems to understand very well, I would be flying with them if they didn't fly Robinsons (No hate on Robbie's - great aircraft - I just hope to focus my hours on other airframes). Very interested to see how flying is going these days, would love to hear your input on Chinook, Cheers!
Good general view, missed the hydraulic reservoir oil level but probably because you were distracted by the driver at that point. A couple more things to check on the tail rotor,Swashplate , main rotor head, blades and skids. When you drained the airframe fuel filter you should check the caution light by pressing the test button on the filter.Visually check the anti col on the tail as that can spoil your day in the hover.Always leave the anti col on that way you will never walk away with the battery on.
Thank you, a very informative add-on! "Visually check the anti COL on the tail" tail rotor collective? Just wondering what this is and why it is good to capture in pre-flight, cheers.
this is an East Burnaby around Lougheed Mall
bell 47 .g ?
There's so many modifications to the Bell 47 I'm not sure which one

Lmao , good kitty !
Best machine to learn on
The bubble makes it easy to see everything around you including the rotor blades the rotor head and even the motor the hydraulics is easy to see back there as well you lift your head a bit yeah amazing machine to fly I love it
Didn’t look around once ....
Focusing on smooth flight
I have the really good wide-angle vision so it looks like I'm not looking I really am
Well maintained chopper, rotor balanced nice, good mill and minimal vibration. Over 75 years of the lovely 47 and still going strong!
They may have been loved by the mechanics but the pilots put them through so much shit dropping in for a thousand feet doing auto rotations yeah that's fun!
You can’t beat a 47’s bubble for the view, awesome! A Brantley comes close but the 3-blade rotor makes hangering more challenging.
Ive never seen anyone hold the cyclic like that...
That's what happens when you're tall and you have long legs and it's an easy aircraft to fly so you just need your fingers anyway.
Nonchalant is the word.
Very unique stick grip
At 13.35. How come the rain getting in there, Does not play havoc with all the components??? Always wondered that
If it's a aircraft that is on the ocean the ocean spray is washed off with water but the inside of all of those component areas have to be constantly checked for corrosion. In the lower mainland it mostly rains so it's pretty clean clear water from the sky.
if you are a pilot then you could see that my legs are long and this is the reason for not holding the handle very well.. but i made it work because this air craft is easy to fly. i got better at the landings with more experience. if it was my helicopter i would modify the grip to fit my hand . now as for blowing the pilot i think not. no thank you. instructor one of the best ones at chinook
Right hand rules
27 000 runways and you have too go there ànd left hand seat oh sham
What is wrong here ? First of all a Chinook has 2 rotors , Ch-47 ! I used to be a mechanic in the US Army , it has 2 Turbines , and 4 transmissions ! You got it all wrong!
The school is called Chinook Choppers!
He is tyro

Nice Jet box. What SN is it ? My guess is probably low 1900's ?
I did my conversión license with Chinook Helicopters in 2003, from January to March. At this time Chinook Helicopters was a small helicopter flight school with a wonderful atmosphere. My instructor was Andy Roe.
that is great i had matt and craig and ray . i was hoping for some time with cathy but time did not permit. on the ground for now but i will fly if someone needs. i need a job soon after this is over if you have any contacts . keep in touch.

Great video. Appreciate it. Gives me an idea of what the Daily checks looks like before I start working in the shop at the Heliport I am at. 👍🏽

You suck
Needs narration.

Nice walk around of the aircraft to make sure that everything is going well before departure
Awesome video. Thanks, top notch shape.

Hello, how much does it cost a fuselage of a Bell Jet Ranger 206 helicopter to spy?
what do you mean spy?

Looks like a lot of fun. I've always wanted to learn how to fly a helicopter.
i was held back for 30years from my dream of flying and now i couldnt wait any longer . you shouldnt wait for another moment. it is hard but life is hard .
