Outdoor Sauna build video from start to finish in 19 minutes. Ice Bath, Bucket Shower.
I built this with the help of a friend over the course of the last few months.

Looks good Tomas. Im in Ireland and just started my build. Did you use just treated decking boards in the sauna floor? What materials did you use for the roof? Cheers.
You inspired me to building my own. Currently digging foundation. Was thinking to use Rockwool slabs for walls, but thought insulation boards wouldn’t be a good choice because of high temp. Did you consider Rockwool, or do you think boards are a good enough - perhaps more economical- fit for every aspect of your build? Lastly, any floor vent by the heater, or adjacent wall for circulation? Great build though mate. 👊🏽
@@frankmartin99 Hey, thanks a million. Fair play on starting the build, def worth it :) Yeah for insulation you have many options, guess it’s up to budget and what’s available near you. I looked at Rockwool and a few others but went with kingspan boards 100mm in end. No floor vents specifically, but it’s larch over deck with a gap so breathable and water can pass

Brilliant build. What do you use to keep the water cool in the plunge? my sauna is smaller with 6kw heater and we go weekly. Was thinking about similar IBC tank cold plunge. Please, share some tips.
@@alexklim76 Cheers, current cooling system for the plunge pool is the Irish climate hahah Few options to make it colder tho, freeze plastic bottles from the recycling with water and chuck them in
Smashing job, did you add any sort of drainage into the floor of the sauna. If you were to build it again, what would you change if anything.
@@davidreid4861 Hey, thanks a million. No direct drainage in the floor, but it’s hardwood Larch boards, with insulation and deck below, so at very least will evaporate. Definitely have plans to build more, would really like to do woodburning stove, in a more natural setting. No major changes in terms of build, few little bits here and there but would stick with fairly similar method
What did you use for the flooring? The same as the walls or did you leave it as just the sheets of OSB board?
@@JF-kb6bl Flooring is hardwood larch boards. Walls are Aspen, benches Black Alder. All native trees to Ireland 😊🍀
Awesome build. What size and brand of electric heater did you use? How’s the Loyly?
@@martyryan9581 Heater is a Harvia 8kw wall mounted unit. The Löyly is mighty 🧖🏽♂️hahah Cheers
