You may not know it yet, but you want to drive an electric vehicle. Perhaps at first it will also have an engine, though you'll discover that you rarely use it. Soon you will be driving an EV that outperforms the smelly old infernal combustion cars of yester year. You'll collect fuel for your car with a solar roof at work and home, micro-turbines, or green renewable grid power. Your children will wonder what an internal combustion engine sounds like, and they won't miss the CO2 cycle disruption at all.

You are having way too much fun Ryan! 🙂
@@lektwik I wanted to do so many more donuts... But the boss said no... ;)
did the jack not fit in the last step?
@@joshsinykin5230 it did fit... But I didn't have a satisfactory way to secure the pneumatic bag jack, so it lives in the under bed storage area instead.
@ do you think the rack could hold two spares?
@@joshsinykin5230 probably. Mine tyre is left of center by about 6". And the outer edge of the spare is about 2" inside the top of the roof line. So it could overhang the roof line by 4" and still be within the absolute outer edge of the body, as the top half of the body slants inward by roughly those 4". Plus the fenders are about another 2" of width. I think it's rated for 300 pounds, so two tires would be within weight spec as well.
Thoroughly enjoyed this. Nostalgia on editing techniques of the day, and very cool song.
@@ConnectingODots glad to get confirmation that someone saw it. Was a project of passion from a bump in the road which ended up as a blessing in disguise by enabling a wide opening for Tesla to step in and utterly disrupt old paradigms. Imagine the garbage we would have if the EV1 and gen1 RAV4 were the principals of tech.
Isn't it nice to do yard work and not smell of gas and exhaust fumes!
Lmao hitting the parking stopper though.
@@TransitAndTeslas yup, this the second take, kept it in because mistakes are nothing to be ashamed of... That's how we learn.
CT hype was indeed short lived...
Not sure exactly what you mean. Would you care to elaborate? I didn't purchase mine for the "hype", whatever that is supposed to mean.
@@D0li0 No but you can just look up the reviews and comments about it around YT. Easy find.
@@JonathanStrome why would I need to do that? You are commenting on a video of me literally driving one over 2000 miles. Thanks for answering my question by telling me that you reason by other people's opinions. I guess I was hoping for an original thought, but that seems to be a lot to ask for these days. As for being short lived... Perhaps you don't realize that Tesla is already selling more per quarter than Rivian & Ford who have both had years to ramp up their production. So I'd say that the hype has indeed only begun to exponentially accelerate. But maybe I'm drawing bad conclusions by using data instead of what random people say in comments on the Internet. Do you have any other sage advice to share?
@@D0li0 BTW hypes are based on other people opinions, not one's original thoughts. You clearly a Tesla fanboy, so I'm not gonna waste more of my time to argue.
@@JonathanStrome hype - noun - extravagant or intensive publicity or promotion. Way to try and reduce me to a "fanboy" since you couldn't be bothered to share any actual opinions about the topic of my video. I must also be a Ford fanboy, and a GM fanboy, and a Chrysler fanboy, and a Nissan, Toyota, and Honda fanboy. Seeing as how I have had cars and trucks from them all which i was pretty pleased with and made some videos about them. Anyway, thanks for engaging and hyping up my video, I guess. Thanks for ensuring it isn't short lived by keeping it going?
Thats cool... were you able to custom build your battery trailer ?
Nauhh, Having a battery trailer would be neat, but I don't have a good enough trailer nor the batteries to integrate into it. And frankly the range is perfectly fine without going to all the effort. Maybe one day I will get a nice glamping camper and see about doing something fun with a beefy battery and solar PV array.
Ryan looks Cool 👍 Baja style! I need a really ladder rack WTF. A 24’ exstention ladder is 12’ folded up? I’m supposed to get my truck by September. Hope someone comes out with a product that people can use for work
@@aloissuter1071 The four rack mount points are each a different width. So the CyberTruckco system sells a unique cross bar for each position. But the OEM Tesla cross bars are universal I believe, so they extend or contract and fit any of the four positions. The CyberTruckowners forum has a bunch of people who have built custom racks, many are built for doing work like is sounds you need.
rest in peace dr seal 🥲

How ya like it??
It was fun for the 2-3 weeks I had it... Pretty much a smaller version of my Lightning. But the machE had the BlueCruise that could change lanes for you.
Oh, but it has less range than my truck too... Otherwise the UI and performance was about the same.

This car is a legend in electric conversion. I know they use two motos combined. Anyone know what is the motors model?
Just a guess, I think they are warp 9"s? Netgain maybe? Just googled it, the AI says they are 9" Advanced DC, model FB-4001... but the pair have a custom pressed common drive shaft. John did some neat series/parallel "shifting" with them... just this year I towed it up to greenwood again, check my channel videos for that road trip and show...
@D0li0 Thank's that series to parallel change I think was a lot of development. I you watch your videos.
2 P, 96 S Wow My disability scooter, I have @ 2P, 20S Running around 40 mph
I love my Electraks. Have 3 different modeld and many gardening implements. How are yiu liking the F150 Lightning? Im really wanting one but am holding out until the tax credit is point of sale next year. The base model eith standard range will do everything i need a pickup to do. Have you had any issues so far?
The Lightning has been great. No trouble. The ProPower 9.6kW PTO has been really useful. Not planning on doing the home power integration, as the ProPower will do generator backup just fine. Been drag racing it recently, look for those other videos of mine on my channel all about the Lightning.
Some pretty solid reaction times.
I still waiting for someone to start a business making CHEAP no frills electric cars. Think this car with maybe only 1 motor or just tamed down.
Many of those types of businesses and kits already exist... You just need to go looking for them.
This was really fun to watch!
Really?
Wait till I drop the two part 2x version that is 9 hour and then a 6 hour video...
I was there!
That was a very special SEVA meeting...
