I gotchu bro, you need a midi editing software with soundfont support (a good example is LMMS), the Super Mario 64 Soundfont file (I used the SM64SF V2 by PablosCorner), and a midi file of whatever song you want. After that its just testing different instrument combinations together and seeing what sounds good :D

holy shit I think you're right! I didn't believe it until I listened to it slowed down and yeah one of the vocal tracks sounds out of sync. I think what happened is that I wanted the end to sound quieter so I exported the isolated vocals and the rest of the tracks as their own separate files and edited them in premiere but my dumbass either forgot to sync the vocals or synced it in the wrong spot; now I can't unhear it so now it's my penance I guess 🙃. Anyways thanks for bringing it to my attention, I prob won't fix it for a bit (at least until my current queue of projects are done or on pause) but I do def want to get to it again and fix it up. 🙏

If it helps, I diagnosed it because at around 7:26 in this video, the vocals (organ) correspond to the lyrics "Train derailed" when the flute (SM64 trumpet) finishes its tremolo and the drums come back to the base beat, whereas in the original at that point, the vocals sing "Hey oh", so the SM64 vocals are two lines of lyrics early (hence about two bars)
