Saving Cicadas from the Ants! Brood X Emerges 4 Years Early in Virginia and Maryland

My wife and I were out for a night walk when the cicada larvae started appearing everywhere! They looked completely bizarre in their various stages of hatching, like zombie creatures rising from the dead. We saw ants trying to harm them and my wife brilliantly started a campaign to save them from the ants. All the cicadas you see in this video were eventually moved to safety! Enjoy!

Very nice cold front came in looking like a mothership...I clipped the GoPro to a tree outside. No tornado was reported but the warning was issued and folks took shelter. Enjoy!

Here's an abstract time-lapse of the unusual DC Hailstorm which occurred on May 2, 2016. The GoPro Session camera was placed on the ground looking up, and the water flowing over made for some fun imagery! Enjoy in full screen mode to see the details. This is the second time this year I've seen hail around the D.C. region; quite unusual. An omen of the coming election season perhaps?

This time-lapse shows the rare Severe Thunderstorm of February 24, 2016 striking McLean, a city near Washington, DC. Strong winds and small hail were observed (a first for me in this area), but no tornadic activity. I filmed the image sequence with a GoPro Hero4 Session.

Here's a time-lapse of a storm arriving in Columbia, MD. The clouds were so dense they completely blacked out the sky when it arrived...it was amazing! I haven't seen the sky turn to night before during the day, due to a storm...at least, not quite like this. Enjoy!

Filmed a time-lapse of today's severe thunderstorm, and captured the Olney-Colesville tornado zipping by at 1:06. I can't confirm 100% that it is the tornado but it appeared exactly where and when it should have given the NWS warning a few minutes prior: Capital Weather Gang @capitalweather 41s Urgent: At 3:53 CONFIRMED TORNADO WAS REPORTED NEAR COLESVILLE... Found this cuz my little brother and I had some fun burning cattails today and wanted to know if there was any near tricks with it- holding it and throwing it up is cool!
This is a good example of late 90s progressive house...a lot of trance at this time, but this is very much house at it's core. Beautiful stuff from the man like.
