Wife approves of the Garmin Livescope
Took my wife and teenage son out ice fishing in northwest Indiana on a beautiful day. The winds were down, and the temps were about 30 degrees. The ice was about 3.5" thick, but we checked the ice with a spud bar and it was solid hard ice. This was the first time my wife got to fish with the Livescope, and she really enjoyed fishing with the Garmin Livescope.

Experience Soldiers Memorial Park MTB Trail
Просмотров 1325 месяцев назад
Check out Soldiers Memorial Mountain Bike Trail located in La Porte, Indiana. The trail has been adopted by NIMBA, and there is a great volunteer group that maintains the trail. There are now three sections to the trail, adding up to an approximately 9 miles of trail to ride. Don't let La Porte's MTB tail under estimate you, there are some tough hill climbs that will get your quads burning. #ad...

Aggressive Bluegill in small Creek (Catch & Cook)
Thanks for this video. I have the old town sportsman auto pilot and it’s very heavy. I’m thinking buying a trailer for it or just unload it just like you did. I didn’t think about backing my truck down the ramp to the water and just slide it out. The problem I’m having is when I’m trying to get it out of the water I’m always fighting the prop that’s always crossways of the hole it sets in when it needs to be up and down so when I pull on the cord to it doesn’t hang up. Ant tips on how I do this without the prop not letting me get out of the water so I can load it back up into my truck bed?
That Live Scope is awesome! It was such a fun time, love! Thanks for taking me out there and helping me! 🫶
Great job guys!! 👍🏻🤗
Thanks momma! It was a fun time! ❤
Set that Hook Girl! Lol. Looked like a nice day to be out.
😂😂😂 it was a beautiful day to be out there!
Just got it yesterday, works great so far and activating it was easy just follow the instructions on the box.
Great Video!, I want to build one myself but I want to use a honda gx340 and that has about 10hp. Im curious on what website you used to get your final Ratio?
@krazykat9979 I can’t remember the exact website I used for the gearing. I had a smaller sprocket on the drive shaft in and it was going 20 mph, which I wanted lower speed and more torque, that’s when I put a bigger gear on the drive shaft in
I want one for Ice fishing and carrying decoys through stubble fields. Might come in handy for recovering game animals too.
Awesome job! What was the make/model of the track donor?
@@jacobocruz2722 The track is off a 90’s Polaris Indy 500. Thank you for your comment. I sold that build to my buddy and still running strong. We have since purchased two Tinger Dogs build kits, and running those now. Head to the Upper Peninsula this Fri for some ice fishing
Why remove the low oil sensor?
@@j.danaclark2166 to turn the snow dogs sharper, I tip the whole unit on the side to make sharper turns. Doing so, the motor will shut off because of the oil sensor.
@chaeuhlemann makes sense. Thanks.
I've got a couple of dead sleds. I think I need one of these.
@@j.danaclark2166 you can make the build with the original hull and keep it even more simple. I like the look of the frame, cleaner look . Don’t over think it, really simple builds.
@@chaeuhlemann I was going to stick with the original frame. Just hack the running boards and front off.
Nice work!
😅
I love this so much!!! 🤣🤣🤣 let’s get ice ready, people!!!!! 💪🎣
Excellent job, impressive!
A lot of guys are putting those sleds on ski's now.... I'm wondering if that would raise the sled and just run on the ski 's ......more speed ??!! 🤔
@@murrayandru7527 The first hearing I had, it went 20 mph, but was lagging at the start with pulling. I then geared it lower, more pulling power but brought the speed down to 10 mph, which is completely fine. 20 mph with these machines can be dangerous. My buddies and I now have the Tinger Dogs.
Looks great! FWIW I'd recommend people check with there local scrap yard for the tubing and metal grate. I'm not going to build this but other projects my local junk yard had different sized tubing from smaller diameter to 4"- 5" stuff all for very reasonable prices. They even would cut it to your exact size for very cheap additional price. I had them cut my metal screen grate and they fired up this industrial sheet metal cutter that easily and CLEANLY sheered it off perfectly to my specifications. (Way better than I could have done with an angle grinder and faster to!) The metal barely had any surface rust so anyone trying to keep costs low check with the scrap yard!
Great build the only problem I see is the way you haul it I have the exact same system and from experience road salt is a killer
@@01abihsot In the build, I have 900-$1,000 into it. The frame is 1/8 wall thickness, salt isn’t going to hurt the frame. And if the motor goes out at some point, those are cheap enough to replace. People go to the casino and drop more money than that. The machine has been going strong and already well worth the $ I have into it.
Sorry I wasn’t criticizing your build like I said I built the same machine 5yrs ago was just giving some advice
@@01abihsot I didn’t take it like you were criticizing it, thank you for your input. For me it’s like people who own old sport cars and only drive them when weather is nice and car shows. I would never own one, because if I have something, I’m going to use it. I do try and take care of my things so they last.
Nice work. Great idea for the hitch mount. 👍
Very impressive. Nice job on the builds.
This is exactly how I launch with my 120PDL and my F150. Loading back into the truck bed can be difficult/sketchy depending on how steep the ramp is.
@@stevemartinezjr I showed a buddy this and he also likes it better than messing with a cart.
PSA! at @23:27 you will see that they do NOT connect the 2 red wires..... DO NOT CONNECT THOSE WIRES BY MISTAKE. THEY WILL BLOW UP YOUR SET UP/melt your wire run. Cut those ends, and tape them off.
I have it and love it I canceled my at&t service I have a smart house with multiple devices and everything is connected no problems I went from paying 109 to 45
A month? And is unlimited?
So how does this work? Do you put in an address. Then you get it?
@@dewaynebrown2283 I purchased the box and the home internet card. I chose to gamble with finding a near by address that the system would accept. I already knew my home address was not acceptable. I plugged the box in, followed the directions, continued putting in addresses until one was accepted.
Hi Chae hows this still working for your needs? I just watched your vid here would it work for some light gaming as well as tv and/or youtube watching simultaneously? Thanks and God bless Merry Christmas
@@stonybuckner9928 Happy Holidays to you and your family. Yes this internet service is still working great for our family. Wife and I can watch Netflix shows while our teenage son plays his online videos games without any issues. The Wi-Fi signal distance is also impressive.
Super cool just finding out about these cool things! Gonna have to buy a used snowmobile now!
@@Freedom41269 don’t spend more than $200 on used track to keep the cost down. Adds up after all the material. But if you can build it for around $1,500 well worth it. We have Tinger Dogs now, only reason we went with Tinger is the larger clutch, wider track.
Thank You for the tips , I need to touch up my deer antlers , and this viedo gave me the confidence that it shouldn't have to be hard !
@@MaryAgnes-lo7pv I’ve been having good results using the classic Carmel first, then adding in melted chocolate. If that then doesn’t blend in well with the rest of the base, I will brush in Early American stain to the whole base and blend it in with a paper towel. Most of the time though, I can get it to look great with just the acrylic paints.
@@chaeuhlemann Thank you !
Nice build.
@@jeffjohnsonfutdoc Thank you. I sold that unit to my buddy, still runs and operates great. I recommend bigger clutch though. I have the Tinger Dog now. Have 13hp and large 400 series clutch
I'm the customer, and it looks amazing, and I'm very happy.
Thanks for the information! Much appreciated 👍
just got mine. getting steady 200 down out in the boonies of texas. damn this is nice. for a third the price I used to pay. very happy!
@@senorstronk did your home address work, or did you have to find the nearest address
@@chaeuhlemann i have a screenshot of when I searched my address and it says it works and so I added to cart and ordered. then It get here, doesn't work and call them up and they act like my zip doesn't work but I bitched and said I have a screenshot of it saying it works and you can try it yourself. when you search my address it says service is available here and reserve your spot. The first rep said it would not work, 2nd rep said she would try to get it to work and that it was an error with the zip. it looks like she ended up finding me a zip that works and plugged that in on my account. works great....for now. sure hope it keeps going.
@@chaeuhlemann when I ordered they said my address worked and to add to cart. but it didn't when It got here, had to call a rep and they said there was an error with my zip. I am probably the first person in my county to have this. I'm in rural nowhere, tx. ANyway, I cried to the rep to please make it work since I am right next to two towers and also I had a screenshot of them saying my address worked and that I am in the map coverage. she agreed and just put it on some zip that works. soon as she did that it worked and I had 200 down. hope it keeps working. Hope the rep made notes that it wasn't my fault and I wasn't trying to cheat or put in a zip myself, the rep did that shit. anyway I am very happy and had had no issues yet
How's the latency?
@@gowithjordan_ i get about 45 ping in most games. that is to a dallas server from rural texas though. in the city it is probably better.
wouldnt that fit well on to the truck bed as well?
@@Anomalous-Plant I can fit two snow dogs in the back of a truck. When we bring our ice shanties, then I have to haul the dog on the hitch.
Experience right there! Good job
What a great turn out! I think it looks awesome!! I’m sure that customer will be tickled with how it turned out! Thanks for sharing!
well i just paid for one. sick of paying 150 a month to this shitty local company. interent is good but its way too expensive and expensive is the only option. i hope this works. verizon map says I should get 5g. even if its lte 4g I dont care. I just want 30-50 down and unlimited data for a cheap monthly price. this should save me 100 bucks a month if it works!
@@senorstronk I’ve had it now for almost 2 years and it is still working great. Not sure if it matters, but I make sure I have it set up on autopay.
Not sure how I missed this video. I had no idea where the new section was. I got 2 GoPro recordings doing this trail. Thanks for posting.

Did you make that stand yourself? It’s beautiful! What a cool and different way to display European mounts! Thanks for sharing!
Yes made the stand myself. The base is from a skid, and then use a fence post.
Thanks for the great info!
