I had 2 extra large cups of orange and carrot juice, and I instantly taste and feel the difference!!! My Ninja blender I have had for 7 years, and it is good, for blending only, my centrifugal juicer of 12+years ran it’s course, and I always noticed when the juice would (split) or separate, whilst standing… I am soo excited for my health now I have the Hurom H300, and feel soo good, such a boost from inside, and my energy instantly sky rocketed, just from the 2 cups of juice. Hey there! Plz tell me what to do. I received the filter change notification but didn’t change it. Just tried to make a coffee and after it change, but simply the coffee won’t pour and the milk won’t work. Do I need to but filter and install the new one and the problem will be solved? Or smth is wrong(clogged maybe). Plz advice me on this issue. Thankssss

Why is water coming through the bottom of the portafilter? Water doesnt come through when i clean my grouphead. The tablet dissolves but water is completely trapped from exiting the portafilter. Isnt that the point?

The roast was good! Effortlessly easy with tasty results! Haha. My friend managed to get me a 19yr old starter that I have kept alive!!! Iv baked 4 loaves…. I use the term loaves lightly…. They look like tortoises 🐢

Clean the jar. Start over with your original recipe. You had the bubbles, just needed more heat. Put it in a shoebox on a sunny windowsill so it's dark but warm.
What flour shall I use ?
@@KhansaMaliks good quality bread flour white or wholemeal is fine, or a bit if both make sure it's unbleached. I saw you use Allison's that is fine.
@@KhansaMaliks Whatever you were using in the beginning. Also, I forgot to add, at night, move the box to the top of the fridge.
I was using (really good) wholemeal and (budget) Sainsburys APF at the beginning, 50/50. I have accepted defeat and plan to start again with a clean jar. 🫙 Consistency with the warmth, good quality flour and brita filter water are my new standards I can’t defer away from.
…it seems over proofed/the peak of the starter seems to have passed…have you been keeping an eye on it throughout the day? maybe have a bit more flour as well it looks too wet…but sometimes that can come from it over proofing/fermenting? keep trying 😭
I thought that, so I really wiped the sides properly with a silicone spatula so I could see any drag marks! I can’t see any marks. I’m at work during the day, so don’t and can’t watch it!

Hahahaha my co-workers already think I’m nuts when I walk into work talking about my sourdough starter! 🤣🤣 I’m determined to get it right and take a loaf of bread in now!.. I tried to bake a “normal” artisan yeast recipe yesterday, and again I think my dough was too wet and after baking for the exact timings, it was slightly doughy when cut. I’m going to perfect the ‘baking’ part before I go back and make a wonderful starter that then gets destroyed with my horrendous baking skills! 🫣🤣

I added honey for the first two days. Shall I add some more now?
This is too runny and lumpy. Throw out most of it. And pour 20g into a clean jar. Add 55g of flour and 50g of water try bottles water if your water tastes chlorinated. Leave 24h in a warm 20-25C. Only feed once a day swapping out 50% of it. If you have been going for 11 day without much rise you either have some contamination, or your water is killing your bacteria, or it's too cold.
I think it’s lumpy because of the fancy bread flour. It had lumps in it. I used double filtered warm water from the coffee machine and left it in the (large) airing cupboard over the last few days. Really nice and warm in there. I agree with you… something is killing it. It bubbles and smells sour, so it’s definitely fermenting, but just not rising. I don’t have any bottle water in the house tonight…. And refuse to go out now. I did this video this morning, so maybe I will just leave it 24hrs till Thursday morning now. Thank you for having a look at my mess! 😅

I put filtered water in my coffee machine and the machine filters it as well and warms it up. So it’s basically double filtered warm water. (Doesn’t give any limescale build up in my coffee machine, so really good water?)

What are you using in the 1:1:1? It should be just 1:1 by weight flour and water.
Just looked at your over videos. I think you are discarding to much. Say you start with 40g of flour 40g of water. After 24hrs you discard and feed. Remove half of what you did the day before and add another 40g of flour and 40g of water.
My 1:1:1 was starter from previous day:new flour:new water I did 1:2:2 for a few days and felt like it was too watery after 12hrs. So I changed to 1:1:1 here so I have more of the starter from the previous day. I think it is fermenting, as there is a really sour smell and bubbles each time. Just not rise, and it’s too watery when I get to it 12hrs later.
I think it captures more yeast in the air if you leave it on the kitchen counter not in a cupboard?
I tried that at the start, it was in the kitchen in the warmest place of the house. But it’s now snowing in the uk! It’s freezing. I moved it to a large airing cupboard where a huge hot water tank is stored just to keep it warm. Maybe I will keep the lid more a jar ?!
Use equal parts BY WEIGHT of water and flour. Not buy volume. In the colder mouths it can be helpful to use wholemeal flour and a tiny but of honey to jump stay the fermentation when it's to cold to get a good start. Keep trying your will get it
You are so right!!! Thank you! I started off so strict by measuring, but then kept seeing people say to eyeball it to a pancake consistency. That didn’t go well for me. So I tried 1:2:2 ratio measured for 2days, that’s not going well either, so now I’m trying 1:1:1 by weight. I used honey for the first 2 days and equal parts wholemeal flour and all purpose flour. Shall I change to all wholemeal? Shall I add honey again now? I’m on day 10! All I get is small bubbles. Zero growth past the line.
@@KhansaMaliks I would just keep doing wjat you are doing. Feeding and discarding everyday until its rising after every feed. You can add a tiny bit of honey when you feed if it's very cold where you are and it needs a jump start. If any hooch (greenish liquid) occurs remove it when you discard before feeding. If all is going well it should go from smelling like flour to smelling like yogurt, to smelling yeasty and then eventually smelling almost vaigely alchololic with a sweet appley notes (stop adding honey when it smells like this) Once it's active and happy you can store in the fridge and discsrd and feed eveyweek. This is what you will make bread with (the discard). You will get there eventually. Starters are very fussing when starting from scratch.
It’s super smelly! Definitely there with the smell, I had hooch a few days after the honey. Just not getting any rise, only surface bubbles. I will see how it is tonight when I get home.

i think its a bit runny, take a look at my guide. On my website Google search ODINS Dough. It will get ve you a guide to when the starter is ready. But after nine days of feedinb you will be close, especially if you have been keeping it in a warm place
What is the ratio of flour to water? Looks a bit runny. A good way to test if its ready, it should smell sweet and appely and when you drop some into water it floats

@@KhansaMaliks I do about 1:4:4 if you check my clip on the website you will see what it looks like. Occasionally add a few grams more flour can help too
Ye I saw that, thanks! You are so good! I don’t think my starter is strong enough to get to 1:4:4. I tried adding a little extra flour this morning to leave it as a slightly thicker consistency. Will see tonight if I have anything other than surface bubbles! 😭
@@KhansaMaliks now I understand, use good ideally organic unbleached flour. Also mix in some whole meal. Bread flour is not strictly necessary for the starter. If it is not rising yet it's not ready, how warm is the place you keep it? try and keep it above 20C below 25C for best results. I agree keep swapping out 50% every day. Until it doubles ... But based you are on 9 days without much rise, it's the flour or the water ... Is your water heavily chlorinated ? If so try bottles water.

Today is day 2! Waiting till the evening to feed it 40g flour and 40g water again. I read that because it’s winter, I should wait 24hrs between each feed! Just under 12hrs left.

Machine tells me! Over the holidays the machine gets used a lot more, less often during other times of the year…. So the cleaning is more linked to how many shots have been pulled and how heavily the machine is used! It starts prompting that a clean is due and recommended, you can delay it and do it when you have the time. I have been known to delay it till the end of a busy week and still have coffee all week! 👌🏼
