A Device Twin is a digital representation of a physical device in the Cloud that allows to structure the communication between this device and the digital world (a.k.a. Cloud and beyond). A Device also allows to keep a record of a device state and for applications to interact with a device even if it's not connected. Last but not least, device Twins are used to integrate IoT devices into Digital Twins, connecting the real physical world with the Metaverse!
In this short video we are looking at the various communication features of the Particle IoT platform such as events, variables, functions and ledgers to build a device twin.
