Medieval Bathtub Resto - Clear Coat over Metal!?
Medieval 🏰 Bathtub Resto
The Tin Bath had rusted on the floor so we
De-Ox’d acid washed it 3 times and scrubbed it with a scouring pad.
It removed all the rust thankfully
With no holes 🕳
After preparing it with MetalPrep wash
We sprayed it with 3 coats of Adhesion promoter allowing 5 mins to flash of between coats.
After 20mins dry time we hit it with Clear coat.
3 coats, waiting 20 mins between coats. 👌
And you got yourself a glossy original Matel finish look.
Now this method is not ideal for a bath but it’s perfect for my Tub/shower 🛀
How do I know it’ll work?
Become cars sit in the rain with no issues to their clear coat. 🤞😅 time will tell
