This summer I had two unique opportunities. The first was to manage a forestry project deep in northern BC, Canada, that could only be accessed by float plane and later helicopter after I helped build the helipad. The second was to participate in a paint by numbers group project at an art and music festival.
This painting builds on those summer experiences and is the first time I've ever painted alone on canvas. I knew I wanted to prepare it for OSU's College of Forestry annual art show and that the theme was related to air. I decided to document the painting process and include clips from the experiences that inspired the art.
