Quick Fit Pin For Astra j Clutch pedal pivot pin
A brief description on fitting the new quick fit Astra j / Zafira C clutch pedal pivot pin, the demonstration is shown to my test fitting pedal box but the job can be carried out with the pedal box still in the car hence the name quick fit pin.

Done this with everything in the car. All back together car won’t start. Any advice
Plug the clutch pedal switch back in or make sure you haven't broken it 👍

Can’t cut the old pin even with hack saw when it hits the gearbox what would you recommend

Ya mine is play but now it hits something and resistance I have to push it side to right to push clutch if not it clicks
Can you please advise where you managed to source the pívot pin?
I have the same problem but also the pedal does not finish going up and when you change gear and release it just jumps and goes up completely the clutch pump is new
Is this the same issue on all astra's. Just got a 2010 astra SE and there's left to right play in the clutch pedal like this. Not sure if it's normal or abnormal play though

I have the pedal repair kits for the Astra J clutch
Good video and good replacement part as well. I’ve done it myself today on Vauxhall Zafira tourer (C Facelift), 2.0 CDTI 130bhp 63plate 2013 UK, I’m adding these details for future reference as I’ve researched myself and couldn’t find any video of how to actually fit this pin on the car, moreover, Zafira Tourer C dashboard structure differs from Zafira B. On Zafira tourer C the lower and upper dashboard are sticked together. On Zafira B, you have the option to disassemble the lower dashboard to have access without taking out the whole pedal panel. The space to take out the pin itself, differs from Left Hand Drive to RHD. In UK, RHD you can trick the pin out but it’s impossible to fit back a new one hence it’s longer than the broken one. Unless you have a the other Pin 🧷 option that screws into each other in the middle. I tricked my one today as a temporary fix without taking the whole dashboard out and introduced the Pin 🧷 the other way and pushed the R clip without washer. Even managed to fit back the torsion spring keeping the clutch pedal pressed with a bar and reaching with left hand on top of the pedal. A nightmare but doable. Have a good one guys 🙃

Is it ok to drive around with the broken pin?
It is Not recommended to drive around as the clutch pedal torsion spring will eventually come out and will create a bigger play in the pedal (which leads to bigger problems). Plus, will be a nightmare to fit back in position without disassembling haft of the dashboard 🙃.
@@TheLucian82 thanks for info. However turns out mine doesn't wobble as much as I thought it did although it has started squeaking.

Afraid not, not really possible to get your hands your head and a camera in the foot well, and yes it is a big job, took me 3 hours and I have 30 years experience, this is why I have made the quick fit pin
its a bit of a job removing pedal box. It is more difficult doing the work inside car to remove pedal box. So easier to do from inside car. which no one seems to know how to do
