I am french and use to go Thailand. And i can confirm this place doesn't look like Thai restaurants in Bangkok or other places in Thailand. For me, too aggresive with tags everywhere. Don't forget that this country is famous for his peace, flowers and smilling faces. And btw, John, you can make some efforts about your english speaking . I know that it's smart to speak "french english" in Paris. But in other places in France, we like normal english speaking. ;)
