My name is Nicholas Stephen--but I prefer to be called "Nick", "Nick Stephen", or my screen-name "OrcaRex". I am winner of the 2010 Doug Flute Jr. Foundation for Autism Award. I like animated media like Disney, Anime, Don Bluth movies, and "MLP Friendship is Magic". I, also, like going to theme parks like Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, and SeaWorld Orlando. Speaking of SeaWorld, I'm pretty fond of the killer whales that live there (and got to meet them). I graduated Bridgewater State University with a B.A. degree in Art (with concentrations in New Media and Fiber Arts).

Stay away from these places! These animals are neglected and abused. And the education is bullshit! You can't study an animal unless you go into their habitat, or learn about them from orca researchers. Orcas do not build relations with humans. All they want is food and it's the only reason why they do tricks They don't eat unless they do the tricks. These whales don't even like each other. They are not families with the exception of mom and baby. No Matriarch, no pods. These are Sea Worlds random selection of hybrids. These animals are frustrated, stressed, depressed, bored, They also have no space and are on poor diets. Because of all this, they die around the age of 25. There have been some random whales that live longer but NEVER live to their life expectancy of 100 in the wild. These whales are suffering. This pool is equivalent to you living in a cage.

Dorsal fins don’t have bones in them. I, also, found out that a pair of male wild orcas have collapsed fins, and they were never captured. Collapsed fins were due to gravity when going to the surface more often.
Sad. These beautiful creatures shouldn’t be in cages but in the ocean with their pods. 😢

This thing is so useless! My local Stop&Shop has one and it's always in the way! It would be one thing if it was patrolling the aisles stocking shelves, offering assistance, but I think retailers have invested in something that offers nothing of benefit to their customers. I understand the point is to monitor for spills, but surely there has to be a better way. Sorry to say, but to this is a complete waste of technology.
They are being beta testers. In the beginning, lots of stuff seems less than optimal. It will progress and they will have been at the forefront. You should have the seen the internet on my 1st phone... Pointless. But it evolved.

I am aware of the orcas in captivity, and I--still--went to the park. I've been backstage during a tour (as seen in this vid) and the orca behaviorists (trainers) have the supplies needed for orca care (medical, environment enrichment devices, and fish).
