      @@farmerandadeleacres2726 I’ve used it to reconstitute for baking, I’ve added it to lemonade to flavor it, it’s yummy added to yogurt with some cherries and granola, and it’s great just reconstituted by itself to drink some pineapple juice!

      @@Thames455 that would be absolutely heartbreaking! In the 37 years I’ve lived in PA, I can only remember 2 earthquakes of note - and I don’t recall either being destructive….? So - sadly, I don’t have an earthquake plan. We could potentially add some front lips. Something to stir on!!

    Thanks for this video! I've freeze dried raw milk with good success (seems to be keeping well), but was curious about HWC since it is so oily. Nice to know it can keep for a good amount of time I love freeze fried diced onions. Work great in all our dishes (even in burger patties) and as a snack!

    Hi- this might be a silly question, I made apply cider by like basically boiling the apples and spices together with water- does that make is pasteurized? Like I don’t need to pasteurize it again?

    Yes I know it get hot I mean what is the temperature that it gets because some Live culture dies pass at a 108° I didn't mean that how hot as in if I touch it it will burn I know it gets hot because it's heats up the food

I’d really like to do big batches and could totally do it outside too, this never crossed my mind!) and yeah the pressure canner… I hear the all American is best but I might try a cheaper one to start so eventually I’ll have two.. are my thoughts but I’m open to any/all suggestions!! I have no family or nearby community that cans so I feel like I’m going at it in the dark 😬 but determined to learn and master! and yes oops the nectarine video 🤦🏻‍♀️ not apricots lol I’m pregnant and my brain is a hot mess! 🙏🙏 thank you so much for your reply!

Ok so here’s some links: Pot with steam basket for large batches: amzn.to/4e26W9k My fave canner is definitely the All American that you can double stack quarts and do 14 at once. We bought ours at the local Amish store! I do know a lot of homesteaders that use Presto and love them - and they are definitely cheaper. My All American was over $400, so that is a big investment.     Did you measure the amount of apple mash for this recipe? You say 16 apples, but mine are already pressed and turned into mash, so I’m curious about quantity of mash. Also curious if reducing sugar content is safe for canning?

      @@theapartmenthomesteader363 I did not measure it. I feel like apple butter is pretty forgiving. Sugar does not have effect on safe canning, just like spices. You can completely omit sugar in any recipe, including peaches, applesauce, etc., and it will still be shelf stable!

      @@ChickadeeFarmDiva I have actually not tried this. I am sure that it would work. You might just not be able to use them for deviled eggs because a lot of times the yolks get thinner the longer they sit in the water glass solution.

    Mandy one thing I seen with making vanilla is when done take the beans and split open and the it to sugar and trust me it change your life when you back to have vanilla sugar to back and cook with it changes everything
