@@thepodunkpunks Aww, thank you so much! <3 Yeah, How To Spot a Nazi will likely not update again until late October unfortunately because of those YT issues I talked about in that vid Chill Goblin helped me with. Maybe in the interim I can do some stuff that's more about nerd culture, like comics or something.

Definitely looking forward to your video on political polarization! We'll share it when you release it. And I feel like everyone's hindsight is 20/20 when it comes to being a leftist and looking back on one's self. Just like looking back at high school, looking back at past held ideologies can be cringey. But that's what it's all about- acknowledgement and positive modification. One thing I've learned since sliding to the left of the Dem party is how much infighting and sectarianism permeates the Left. Everyone to the right of Dems, including Dems, have capitalism as a framework. Since capitalism kicked over every one of socialism/communism's sand castles, it seems like the left is fighting about what to try and what not to try again, and what new models may be best. But that all goes hand in hand with the amount of political polarity that you're talking about. The present seems to be on a knife's edge that's only growing sharper. All the more reason I'm hyped for whatever your vid may touch on. If you would like to collaborate sometime or even just kick it on our show with us, just let us know. We do Skype interviews/Hangouts all the time. Just let us know!

In general, I haven't particularly noticed infighting on "the left" (as I say, bad term, but here we are :P) I will say that I was a bit disappointed in a video I saw yesterday or so from Swoletariat for that reason where he blamed intersectional feminism for a lack of progress getting leftist priorities into the political mainstream... I left several comments on it with some criticism of the video -- in particular pointing out that I didn't feel he had established evidence that intersectional feminism was in any way preventing progress. In one of his replies to my saying it was a non sequitur he literally said "Trump is the evidence intersectional feminism caused our stagnation." <sigh> So... long story short, while I haven't seen much infighting personally, I know that it does happen and I have seen at least one instance I can point to. I'm also active on Twitter @datafaucet -- I'd love to send you a prelim script/outline for the polarization video, we can brainstorm on the comedy writing together. What's the best way to send that to you?

Fully agreed, and thank you. We're trying to reach out to some prominent leftists on youtube, along with some local leftists so we can host some entry-level discussions that'll both educate us more, and hopefully tug our viewers in the right direction.

Trevor doesthings most definitely! We just haven't had a chance to get together in a good bit, so we've just been doing short clip stuff. But we'll be back to the grind of making new episodes soon. Might have a new one up by next week

Trevor doesthings if you're working with other people, make sure you thoroughly discuss what kind of music you each want to play and make sure everyone will actually enjoy the music that the band actually creates. Get really used to a metronome. Have a studio rig and a separate live rig Buy an assload of cables and mic stands. They constantly break. Online and yard sales are the best places to get em cheap. Go digital no matter what. Dont let someone sell you one of those Tascam DP02CF things. Get a good interface and some good mics and use software on a computer, like Audacity, Reaper, or some other free program. You can make cheap instruments sound amazing with the right mics and interface, so spend high on that while spending low on software and instruments to start out. All we use to record demos is 4 or 5 drum mics, 2 or 3 instrument/vocal mics that go into a 12 channel cheap ass behringer mixer, where the left/right outputs go into a $99 2 channel presonus interface, which hooks via USB to my laptop, into Reaper. Drum mic pack, two decent mics, a mixer, and interface, might be about a $800 setup overall.

Trevor doesthings yeah, liquid metal refers to a Sirius XM station that played nothing but new hard rock and weird stuff like Volbeat lol. But hey, whatever you end up making, once you get something recorded, send it to use and we'll promote it!
