I have a ww2 German kit cup 2 pots for cooking

Late to the party but i can buy those so called "Gerber" e-tools in their box for 18 euros here in the Netherlands. How prices depreciate that much i do not know. Or were the prices just vastly inflated in the first place. Seriously need to see what a MOLLE clip looks like please? MILTEC, anything they make breaks within 4 weeks including clothing, thats why its so cheap.

This is a very good check list. I have everything on your list except the jetboil. I also keep rope but I added a couple of pulleys and carabiners so I can make a three-in-one hauling setup.

I recently got a cheap plate carrier that fits me very well, but only downside is that there is no molle on the rear plate carrier, so what I need to find is a decent multicam/ocp backpack that can strap around the rear plate carrier (without being too loose) and look decent.

You convinced me to get one. I have looked at this knife for quite a few years always been hesitant to buy one due to the expense. But now they're on sale here in Canada so I decided to order one.

Thanks for this video! From my own military time I have experience with the German Bundeswehr mess kit, but I never liked the Esbit cooker you got as part of the equipment. Some years ago I got a Swedish M40 clone, which was good, but I got wary of the aluminium. These days there exists a stainless steel version of the M40 distributed by the German company MFH, which appears to be very solid, I'll try it out when hiking in Idaho in September. One side-note about the German canteen - if you pour hot water into the bottle and close the lid you have a perfect hot-water bottle you can put into your sleeping bag in winter times.

I lke Rush12, there were three such backpacks in use, two of them are version 1. One for the city walks is black, the second in a multicam for combat. After the destruction of the backpack at the front in the defense of the Donetsk People's Republic in 22, I took version 2. it does not have a mesh on the back, but when you are in a plate carrier, it is not so important. I carry a Glock 45 with a Trijicon RMR and a Streamlight TLR-1! I feel I shoot so much better with it. I agree that iron sights are a must first and foremost, though.

Where were they made? On the website some X1 don't day where. And some do say MADE IN USA

Its funny that people don't seem to realize tourniquets were a thing before the CAT with the windlass was created. I had a neighbor who was tossing out an old military first aid box that he took home from Desert Storm, so he gave it to me when I asked what it was. It was a time capsule of late 80s/early 90s GI medical stuff. A bunch of bandages, gauze, a few Vaseline burn patches, some 1,000 mg tylenols in a bottle, a maual blood pressure pump and even a bottle of SPF 15 "Ultra Protection" sunscreen with a 1989 copyright date. Among everything was a blue rubber tourniquet that simply attached at each end by some of the strongest velcro I've ever handled. Even to this day, it'll still squeeze the hell out of your arm, but no way is it big enough to go around someone's upper leg.

The first one you are showing seems to be the original Ames one. The ones made in Germany today for the army have a stronger joint with 4 rivets (instead of 3) and improved overall shoulders. Firefighter in the city. I carry a Spyderco Enuff on my bunker coat. Fixed blade, sheep’sfoot fully serrated. Fixed blade for ease of handling with large fire duty gloves, sheepsfoot for rescue purposes and a serrated blade because I will never sharpen that Knife. The main purpose of the blade is to rescue myself if I ever get tied up in a sticky situation during a search. However, it is equally effective in cutting seatbelts and other materials to rescue people from of their vehicles.
