Assuming your talking about the Xbox store version on pc yes... your directory will be different but everything else should be the same.

So to check what version you have you load up and it will tell you in the bottom right corner like at 2:59 you see it says 1.23.00 that's what we refer to as version 1.23. And yes the way to upgrade the game after downgrading is to simply delete the game and redownload in steam because steam will only give you the latest version by default...Hope this helps👍
