Thanks for asking the question about the mode settings because you made me pull out my owners manual and double check. AK550s imported to the U.S. are: blue is normal mode and amber for rain. My dealer also set it in rain mode (amber) for my test ride. You can feel the difference in rain mode. Only had to use it a couple of times and it really helped me feel secure in the rain. The acceleration isn't as quick. Let me know when you get yours! Thanks again for your comment!

The confusion is because they have changed it on the new model, so it's the opposite way than the original model.

You're bold and brave and my hat is certainly off to you! SALUTE!!! I love riding my bike. However, I'm in a little country City and even though downtown St. Louis, MO is only 15 miles from where I live in Illinois it's still is in no comparison to NYC so kudos to you! I have driven a car in New York and I can't imagine what it's like on a scooter! Whew! Would like to see some footage of you riding! I'm sure she handles well and can hold her own. Great question! Displays always flicker it's just that we can't see it with our natural vision. I know it's annoying and frankly it drives me crazy! I changed my Insta 360 camera Anti-Flicker settings from Auto to 50hz and then 60hz. It didn't matter. It is my understanding there are two types of LCDs displayed here. If I'm not mistaken the two outside displays are TFT LCD and the middle display is LCD. They produce different levels of hertz. The flicker you see is the refresh of the display. The refresh rates can vary. Therefore, one flickers and the other doesn't due to different technology and refresh rates of the display and camera. Don't quote me on any of this. I'm not an expert in this area and can be totally incorrect. Hope that explanation helps. Feel free to google it for your research purposes. Thanks!

I loved the bike! I traded in a 125cc Havana Classic before it which was also a great bike. The 200i is much faster and can hold its own. The 125cc is great unless you have steep hills to climb but then it it can handle it too. Just slightly slower. Was nothing I disliked about any of the bikes. All very reliable and no maintenance issues. I traded the 200i a couple of weeks ago for a 2023 SYM CityCom S 300i only because I wanted more power for the hills I like to climb. If it wasn't for that I would have kept the Cali Classic 200i, however, the new 300i performs beyond my expectations!
