The Royal Mile in Edinburgh is a hive of activity during the month of August for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. It's one of the best places to get a taste of The Fringe as there are many street performers at all times. The Edinburgh Military Tattoo takes place at the top of the Royal Mile each evening as part of the Edinburgh International Festival, and the atmosphere is buzzing and fun!

The supermarket is closed now but there is one about 10 min walk
That's a shame it's now closed but at least there is another close by :)
